Just taking a break from the traditional shaped cards...

Hey there, crafty people! Today, I am just glad to show you the two cards I've made this week...Yes, I hope I can make more than two but not a lot of time to play with and this two took me forever...LOL But I am so happy with the way they turned out. I hope you can agree with me. I am so into sewing cards right now (since I got rid of that fear to sew on paper 2 weeks ago and made my first card) that I thought every card I would make will have some kind of stitching but this Tilda card end up with no stitching yet a lot of work. Here's some pics:

SIDESTEP GARDEN COURAGE TILDA CARD:
This Magnolia Tilda image is stamped and hand-colored by me and showing Psalm 31:24 for sentiment. This is a fun style card that is very 3-D. This is my first time to try the side step card and I thought it would be so easy but any wrong or crooked measurement can ruin the shape of the card...Very tricky, I tell you! I wasted two 8.5 X 11 white CS before I had the perfect cut...Now, the fun part is coloring this lovely Magnolia Tilda and creating a concept. The whole garden motif was far from what I originally planned but after I placed the grass (from Sizzix dies), the whole new concept dawned to me...I just love it! Love the flowers too (Studio G)...All images are colored with Gamsol. The swirl that Tilda is sitting on turned out cute after some major inking mishap, I was able to incorporate that to the swirl design which turned out well (Oh, I thank God!)

SIDESTEP GARDEN COURAGE TILDA CARD (Sideview):

This so much fun but tons of work...I can tell that I will be doing some more of this card style in the days to come.

Now here's another fun design...Tsaraaa! I also entered this card in the following challenges:

1. Polka Doodle shaped card challenge
2. Cute Card Thursday featuring ribbons...

3. The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge featuring stitching...

JUST FOR YOU DOILY FLOWER CARD:
This great flower image is stamped and hand-colored by me and showing "Just For You" as sentiment. The card base was cut 5.25 inches from Cricut Wild Card cartridge. There's a lot inking, stamping and stitching on this one as you can tell from the pictures both inside and outside the card. The main flower design was embossed to create a wet look. Another dry, embossed image can be seen beside the message space. I put a lot of work on this, I tell you, but truly worth it. I got some inspiration from the "A Card-A-Day" book (from designer Beatriz Jennings) but made all the colors and concept mine. This is the best Card book ever! Even my 4-year old boy loves this card...

JUST FOR YOU DOILY FLOWER CARD (INSIDE THE CARD):
Here I am falling in love with stitching and incorporating that in this card...Why did I chicken out on sewing and let my brand new sewing machine sit for more than a year? But there's no more turning back now. I love how stitching adds beauty to a card so, you can see more stuff like this in the future.

Okay, thanks for checking my blog guys and just want to thank the Lord Jesus for all the strength, resources and fresh ideas he reveals to me in my creation...To Him be the glory always!

Off to join a challenge featuring Magnolia and Cuttlebug...

Hello there, Crafty friends. I am excited to show you the card I made for the two challenges I joined (yeah, I don't get a lot of time to join more) and need to make a card with a Magnolia image on it to qualify for the Magnolia Challenge #43...I just love their images (though costly, I was able to buy a few of them). The challenge is to use a Magnolia image and incorporate it with the sketch made by "Jay-Jay" (visit their blog at http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com) I also entered the same card for the Cuttlebug challenge "Be Inspired #71 (details on http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com) which needs to showcase stitching in a project. Here's what I came up with.

SEASON TILDA CARD:
Isn't she pretty! I used Gamsol to color the image and for the first time, I DID STITCHING on this card. I have been wanting to do that for more than a year now and even bought a sewing machine for that purpose but yes, it gathered a lot of dust sitting in the corner of my craft room for a year or so. But then, thanks to Cindy and her sewing tutorial (http://royalthings.blogspot.com), I was encourage to try it...I am just happy that I didn't sew my fingers in the process...LOL I used Prima flowers, dew drops, stickles, Cuttlebug embossing and a sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Here's the inside of the card...I got carried away stitching all over the card stocks, as you may notice but I provided a nice space for personal message with another embossed image on the side...All in all, it took forever but I am happy with the results and I hope you enjoy this too...Have a blessed morning and I'm getting ready to worship the Lord Jesus in the Church later on this morning.

Encouragement Cards and Bookmarks...

Happy President's Day Everyone...Praying that the presence of the Lord Jesus is felt this wonderful day in your life and your family. Anyway, did several things the past few days and I just want to share with you what kept me busy other than my hubby and my 4 year old son and Church activities.

BIBLE VERSE WITH FLOWER CARD:
(This card is my entry for the LITTLE RED WAGON CHALLENGE featuring black and white)...

I am sending this card to a lady that has a cancer (as per request from "Nilda" from Cricut MB, please pray for her). I just love the verse here from Clear Dollar stamps. I used my Cuttlebug on the base card, stamped flower images, cut them and matted each one, got some ribbon and walah, an elegant Black and White card. I hope this card brings her hope in God in Whom all blessings flow.

BIBLE VERSE WITH OWL CARD:

I am sending this card to a girl that has leukemia (as per request from her friend online, please pray for her). You can see the details on this at dustinpike.blogspot.com and Dustin is sharing 3 owl images available free for download for those that would like to participate (very cute). She loves owls so, I incorporated a very cute stamped image for her. I decided to make a different owl image so that she can have variety...

LITTLE BOY BOOKMARK:
I colored this cute image from Whipper Snapper Designs using Gamsol. He turned pretty cute after my 4-year old son told me the colors he wanted for the outfit. I think he has a pretty good taste...LOL Anyway, I inked the edges of the image with Distress ink and placed it on top of a cardstock which was embossed with Cuttlebug hearts...And the Bible verse is awesome as usual...My favorite bookmark for sure because my son totally adored it.

BLUE SKIES TRAILER BOOKMARK:
Another bookmark for my little boy...He's really into reading and seeing his face lit up when I gave him two handmade bookmarks melted my heart. Love the Bible verse in here too...I colored the image with Sharpie and Bic Markers, used Distressed ink and my my Cuttlebug.

Okay, this is all for now but going to post more stuff in the coming days...If you are inspired in any way but any of my creation, please leave me a comment. I love reading those. If you also have a project that was inspired by any of my work, I would love to see them. I need inspiration too from all the crafty people in this planet...Hugs!

My Love Inspired Cards using Cuttlebug!

Hello fellas! I know it's been several days again but been busy lately just making cards and I am happy that I was able to sell some of them. I am featuring 3 of them here...It took hours to make them mainly because I have to think of the lay-out to use and what techniques to include...Coloring the images (for those that are stamped) takes some time and so as thinking of what colors (card stocks) and embellishments to include. Anyway, I am so proud of these cards.

BANANAS FOR YOU CARD:
First up is this lovely Changito Monkey...I colored it with Bic and Sharpie markers and embossed the card with Cuttlebug hearts. So cute! This is my entry to:

1.  SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT featuring clean and simple cards.

THANK GOD FOR YOU CARD:
This one has Cuttlebug embossing as well. The Prima flowers and brad just made this all so complete together with that one sentiment (one of my favorite verses). Truly lovely! Another entry for the...

1.  SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT  featuring clean and simple cards.

THE LOVE CARD:
Really enjoyed making this. I embossed the white background with Cuttlebug retro squares and stamped those images and dressed them up...I stamped and included 3 different size hearts all for the fun of it...I got carried away inking those ovals but my friend liked it...LOL

Anyway, this is what I have at the moment...More cards for sale to feature next time...Have a wonderful, fruitful and blessed day in the Lord Jesus!
