Scripture Series: FAITH--Impossible is Possible Card...

Hello there, Crafty Guys and Gals...Today, I will be featuring a card that I made for a friend who celebrated his birthday just recently.  He underwent trials in his life that confined him in a wheelchair, unable to walk .  The Lord Jesus had been blessing his family and though still waiting for the manifestation of the healing in the physical realm (it's already won in the spiritual as the Bible says:  By the stripes  of Jesus, we are healed...1 Peter 2:24), we are all fully convinced we'll see him walking again.  So, what better message to give him on his birthday but the one's in this card?  BTW, I was pretty challenged again on how to come up with a "manly" card.  I always think it should be a combination of subdued colors, simple with some type of metals...LOL  So here, I used a stamp from Studio 112 for both the image and the sentiment on the outside of the card. I used black embossing powder to get that crisp black, raised images. The base is a Kraft CS and I dry embossed the top panel with Tim Holtz Alterations.  Hmm, quite dramatic!  Love the crisp embossing. I added a nice ribbon and attached black eyelets for added dimension.  And finally I printed the inside message (taken from no other than the Bible) and voila...a birthday, encouragement, and simple manly card with an attitude.  I am pretty happy with this and so as my friend. This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

I always believe that I am making cards not just for the fun of it but to know the main purpose of why I spend my time (many sleepless nights, even) doing what I do.  My desire is to share God's word...a message of hope, reconciliation, joy, friendship, love and laughter to anyone whose going to receive it/them.  Nothing beats the joy I feel when someone receives my card, appreciates the design and effort but most importantly, receives spiritual encouragement that feeds their spirit.  Oh yes, that's why I do what I do!  Oh Father God, thanks for your continuous inspiration.  I just love you with all my heart...

Elephants on Parade Birthday Card...

A great Tuesday morning everyone...Just popping up today to share this A2 card I made for a 3 year-old girl who had her birthday recently.  She's into elephants so, what better way to make her happy but to give her an elephant card as well.  I got this image from Spyder's Corner as one of the 3 digi images that I chose for a prize when I won a challenge at the same blog.  I say it came at a perfect timing...LOL  I colored the image with my Prismacolor Markers, did some inking with Distress Inks (Rusty Hinge), added some orange gems, fancy ribbon, border punch (Fiskars) and a DP from DCWV Citrus Collection.  I stamped a flower (note) image twice from Stampendous, wrote the outside sentiment free-hand while the inside sentiment was taken from the Ultimate Guide to a Perfect Card Book.  So, what do you all think?  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Crafty Sentiments Designs featuring "Use a Digi"

This week, I am a bit lazy to create some cards but had been taking some time to continue making my crochet blanket...It will take a while before I'll be able to finish it to fit a King size bed...LOL  Hopefully today, I can accomplish something in my Craft room.  I am not a stranger to days feeling uninspired but I just ask the Lord JESUS for guidance and inspiration and He gives it to me.  I pray that my projects will not be just any regular craft pieces but those that delivers light and hope to whoever receives them.  Thanking  my Father in Heaven for His constant love...

I Give Myself To You Wedding Card...

Hey everyone...It's a HAPPY DAY!  GOD has given me another day to shine His light and I was also featured today (for the first time) as a GDT at Digital Delights by Louby Lou.  I won top place at their Challenge a few weeks back with my Wedding Card and got the chance to be their GDT.  I chose an image from their many great images and guess what, I picked up the Bride and Groom...LOL.  So here's another Wedding Card for me to share.  I colored the cute couple with my Promarker/Prismacolor Markers, added some Stickles (glitter) to create some sparkles and used an MS Punch to create the borders.  I wanted a pastel green motif so, I used a Core'dinations CS as my base card, added a satin ribbon and my handmade crochet flower (I sell those in My Etsy Shop, with many colors to choose from) that truly made this card popped.  The sentiments (inside and out) are  from Cloud 9, nice little gems from Imaginisce and a big pearl brad in the center of my flower (don't know the brand name now).  Finally, I did stitching all over this card and voila, it was all good!  I would like to thank Digital Delights for allowing me to highlight their wonderful image for you all today. This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

God Provides a Way out on a Limb Card...

Hi ya'll!  It's midweek again and I have another Card to share with you all.  I made this one for a Church friend who ask me to make an encouragement card for her friend.  I love how my friends allow me to be as creative as I can and trust my judgment on colors and combinations so, this was what I came up with...I used the cute image from CDS stamps, colored it with my Prismacolor markers and utilized my Cricut Gypsy for some die-cuts using the Serenade Cartridge.  I added some brads, google eyes for that cute creature (I don't know what it is?!?)  The nice sentiments were also from CDS stamps.  The DP's are from My Mind's Eye Boy Stack and to finish the card, I stitched all over, inside and out.  I am so proud of this one and the most important thing is that my friend love it and so as the recipient.  So glad!  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:
