Flowers and Butterflies Birthday Easel Card...

Hey there, friends...It's mid-week and I'm so happy to share another card to you.  Wow, this is very unusual for me to make another project just after I posted one a few days ago.  But this one is custom-made for a friend of mine whose Mom celebrated her birthday last weekend.  With a little input on colors and what theme she wanted for her card, I was able to make this pretty Easel Card. I used this flower and butterflies image I got from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and colored it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  Added some inking, glitters, ribbon, dew drops and die-cut butterflies from MS Stamp and Punch Pack (I love it!).  As you can see, I added some embossing too on the base panels of the card.  The sentiment is the message my friend wanted to incorporate with a Bible verse.  And to bring them altogether, I stitched all over this card, inside and out including the envelope-box I made for it.  I am very satisfied with the bright colors of this project and the nice thing was, my friend and her Mom loved it too...So, what y'all think?  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Simon Say Stamp featuring "Anything Goes"

Okay friends, this is all for now and hope you enjoy browsing on the pics.  It's a bit gloomy here but I am still enjoying a not extremely hot weather out here.  Aww, don't really want to think of Summer much because it can be 3-digit toasty here.   But thanking God for each day that comes for I know that He has a wonderful purpose continuously unfolding in my life.  Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Thinking of You Fence-Kitty Card...

Happy weekend everyone!  Been busy the whole week making some cards for friends and this one, I just finished a while ago.  I've been wanting to make this card for a week or so now but since I was asked by a couple of Church friends to make them a card, this got delayed.  Anyway, I was inspired to make this after I got the Fairy fence digital image for free from Spyder's Corner.  She is going to give away a nice Tree image for those who will make any project using one of her digi images and post it before the 26h of March for her Spyder's Birthday Challenge...Yay, I think I made it almost to the last minute...LOL  The cute kitty image is also a freebie that I got from another artist that I could not remember now.  (Let me know if you recognize to whom the image came from and I will give proper credit).  I colored both images with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers and added some  silver glitter-glue on that fence.  I used 3 kinds of DP's from DCWV Spring Stack Collection.  I added some blue Prima flowers with buttons in the center and added glitters on them too.  I punched out several leaves with my MS Punch and stamped a flower border image from Fiskars on the side of the card.  And finally, lots of stitching!  Now, let me know what you think.  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.   Spyder's Corner featuring "Use any of her Digi images"

UPDATE:   Yippee!  This Card WON the Challenge at Spyder's Corner...Thanks a lot!  So grateful...

Happily Ever After Lace Wedding Card...

Oh wow, I am amazed that I am able to get another project done before another week has passed.  The reason for that is because I have to make this Card for my Nephew-in-law that had his wedding just last weekend.  But here's the funny story...I was aware for many weeks when the Wedding Day was supposed to be but for some reason, I hadn't remember to buy a gift nor make a card until 10 AM of the day of the Wedding...And we had quite a ways to travel to the wedding venue and had about 4 hours before we need to be there.  So, needless to say, I went into an initial panic mode...LOL  Sent my hubby to buy a gift and made this card in just 2 hours...Now, that is record breaking for me because I was not planning to make a very simple card.  I didn't even know where to start but I thank the Lord because He definitely gave me the ability to make this and when I was done, I was truly happy with the results.  Anyway, I used Mo Manning digi image of a Wedding dance couple as my main image.  I colored with my Prismacolor and Sharpie markers.  I used MS Trellis Punch and punched borders on two sides of my white CS and added some stitching.  My outside sentiment came from Cloud 9, the inside sentiment came from the Bible and the vellum envelope sentiment came from Paper Studio.  To finish it all up, I added a lace (store-bought) and an Irish rose I crochet myself.  Placed a pearl brad in the middle and voila, an elegant Wedding card.  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.   MAWTT featuring "Special Lady"
2.   Digi Designs featuring "Pastels"
3.   Digi Doodle Shop's Best featuring "People"
4.   Poodles Parlour featuring "Anything Goes"

Oh yes, we ran a bit late for the Wedding rehearsal as my son was asked to be the Ring Bearer but made it with enough time to spare for the Wedding itself...Still my question is, how come I forgot about all these things?  Oh well, I don't have any answer but hoping to avoid similar problems in the future...LOL  So, again, thank you, Father God, for giving me the ability to finish this project.  You are awesome!  For those that enjoyed this post, please don't forget to leave a comment.  I love reading and responding to them.  Hugs!

Beach Bears Soakin' Up the Sun Card...

Hello there, Craft Friends!   I'm back with a fun card to share with you.  I am not a big fan of Summer (I'm saying that because Summer goes to triple digits here in Texas...LOL) but I have had terrible allergies from recent Winter that Summer sounds fun at the moment.  So, here's what I came up with...a Beach Theme!  I dug up this wonderful Beach Bears Image from my Dustin Pike Digi Collection and colored them with my Prisma/ProMarker/Sharpie markers.  Aww, aren't they the cutest bears? I added some die-cuts of waves, Palm-tree leaves that I cut from my Cricut "Life is a Beach" cartridge with the help of my Gypsy.  The sun was die-cut from my Sizzix die.  As usual, there was no lay-out or design I had in mind prior to making this card so, it took some time but love how it came together.  I added some inking, several gems, a sentiment "Soakin' up the sun" from Hampton Art and the "Thinking of You" sentiment from Stampabilities.  The nice DP's are both from the Sugar and Spice Collection of the Paper Studio.  To finished it all up...I stitched all over the card---inside and out!...Let me know what you think about this summer card.  This card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.  Dustin Pike featuring "My Life is a Zoo"
2.  Delightful Challenges featuring "Someone Special"
3.  Crafts and Me featuring "Let's See Circles"
4.  Totally PaperCrafts featuring "My Favorite Things"  (I love bears, beach and palm tree)

7.  Freshly Brewed featuring "Plant/Outdoor Scene"
8.  Whoopsi Daisy featuring "Punch it Out"

The past few days, I've been busy making my own crochet flowers and soon, I will be able to take some pictures and blog about it here.  Oh wow, I have too many crafts to do with too little time.  Anyway, I forgot to mention that while making this card, I was worried that it would come out short of my standards but after praying to the Lord and asking for His inspiration, I am truly happy with the results.  What can I say,  God is my inspiration for anything---everything.  Okay folks, have a fantabulous rest of the week please leave a comment for me.

Butterflies Birthday Card...

Happy Monday, everyone!  Today, I want to share this card I made for my friend's daughter who celebrated her 2nd Birthday yesterday.  I bought a couple of gifts for her and realized that both had butterflies on them so, I decided to make this card to match with those gifts.  I used this butterfly rubber stamp that I bought from Michaels a while back (does not have a brand name) to highlight this card.  I stamped it several times and colored the images with my Prismacolor and Sharpie Markers.  I added Stickles (glitter) for added dimension.  The base card is from DCWV (boxed card) and I embossed the green and blue panels with my Cuttlebug.  I added a satin ribbon and decorated it with multicolored buttons (Aha! I seldom used these buttons but they are so cute on this project, I think I have to keep using them now...LOL). The sentiment is from Printworks.  I must say I am happy with the way the colors came together.  I don't make cards with lay-out or a clear picture of how the colors need to be arranged in a project.  I am that kind of Card maker that takes colors and lay them on my base card and see which one would look nice together.  I really love how this one came out.  What do you think? This card is entered into the following Challenges:
