Scripture Series: Come Boldly to the Throne Center Step Card---Another Inspirational Challenge at Word Art Wednesday...

Hi there, Crafters all over the world!  It's Wednesday and what else could be exciting but to find new inspirations for our creativity.  We have a great Challenge waiting for you at Word Art Wednesday and we start by giving away a free Word Art that you can use in your projects. If you chose to play with us and link your creations, you get a chance to win a prize by next week. Awesome, right?  Now, we always play Anything Goes so, if you have other inspiring sentiments in your projects and don't want to use the free Word Art, you can still join the fun.

For my DT card, I have created this heartfelt  Center Step Card featuring the free Word Art.  I felt that this is the best image I can attach to the wonderful scripture message this week.  This cute digi is from Mo Manning Collection and is called "John Praying."    I colored him and his Teddy with my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  My DP's are 2 from Martha Stewart and 2 from K & Company including the flowers that were cut-up from the DP.  My card base is a 5.5" Kraft CS...Other CS are Aqua Green, Dk. Brown and more Kraft.  I added some Nestabilities "Lacey Circles "die-cuts" utilizing 2 of the biggest in the set.  For added dimension, I attached several brads and brown "Hotfix" gems and bring them altogether with some stitching.  Finished size was more or less 6.5" (square).   I honestly love how this turned out.  This was my first attempt making a Center Step Card although I had the template for a couple of years now.  I did the Side-step, the Step Card but not this one...All I know is that I was so inspired by the image and the message that I had to take on a new card design and bring the best in this creation.  Thank you, Lord Jesus, for you are my true inspiration. This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Lady Anne's featuring "Anything Goes"

So, here in the United States, we are currently holding our Presidential election (early voting on-going till the 2nd of November) which culminates on election day, November 6.  This will be my first time to vote for a President of this country since I became a citizen a few years ago.  I value this opportunity knowing that many people don't have the same privilege in other countries.  I also believe that this election is a significant one.  I believe our choices will determine the course of this country and since I care for the future of my kid and future grand kids and the generations following,  I am not taking God's Word for granted.   I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat.  I am, however, a CHRISTocrat!  I believe Jesus Christ is the Only One who has the power to save this country and anybody who put his/her trust in Him will find great comfort from  the Only One in Whom all blessings flow.  I vote for the God of the Scriptures, not just any opinions of man.  So, the Word Art I shared with you in this post tells me to come  BOLDLY (with confidence---having been washed clean by the blood of the Lamb) to the throne of God Almighty through His Son, Jesus Christ.  For there, I can expect forgiveness and mercy, comfort and peace even in times of chaos and uncertainties.  This is the time to pray and intercede in behalf of our country.  The Bible says, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)...No matter what happens, Jesus is our Only Hope!  I am voting this week, hope you do the same...God bless!

Travel by Plane with Love Card---Join us for another IAS Challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions...

Hi there...It's Tuesday and time for another wonderful Challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions (JDE) with the theme "Anything Goes."  Since it's an IAS (Inks and Such) Challenge, we'd love to see your creations using any kind of coloring medium---markers, paints, colored pencils etc...Pretty simple, huh!  Anyway,  I've had a pretty busy week and thinking of all the things I needed to get done with all the activities at Church, home, family and friends makes me want to panic but I know that I am not alone...The Lord Jesus is with me and one way or another, all the things needed done will be accomplished.  I started the preliminaries of this card early weekend and had to put it on hold because of Sunday's busy schedule.  Despite not having much time, I made it on schedule...Phew!  Here, I used one of Robert Jackson's images called "Airplane," which I colored with my ProMarker and Prismacolor markers and distress it with Antique Linen and Pumice Stone by Tim Holtz.  I used my ever favorite Kraft CS for my base card size 5.5-inches, layered it with golden yellow, moss green and grey CS together with a Martha Stewart DP.  I used 2 embossing folders here---one from Paper Studio and the other from Cuttlebug.  I stamped and cut several corner borders and attached a few metallic grey brads.  The sentiment is from Fiskars.  Finally, my fave embellishment...stitching!   So, how did I do?  Would love to hear your comments on this project.  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Anything Goes featuring "Anything Goes"

This is all I have for now and I hope this card gave you some inspiration to join us at the JDE Challenge.  Great prizes are available and most importantly, do it for some fun.  Oh, not to forget the fact that I have to schedule to go and vote early for the Presidential election.  I believe that this is one of our privileges in this nation and we should never take it for granted. Our own lives, our children and the many generations that will follow will either benefit or suffer from the choices we'd make.  In my case, I don't vote for a Party---I make a vote for the principles of God and His Word which will last eternally.  God bless, yall!

Scripture Series: Where Your Treasure Is Pocket Card---It's time for Another Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Hi there, fellas!  It's midweek and guess what?  It's time for another inspirational Challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  I am blessed to highlight God's Word in my creations because I am able to get the scriptures that transformed my life to the reality of the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus shared to those who want to know Him in a personal and intimate way.  The Bible says,"Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).  The Bible is God's instruction to all of us and from Genesis to Revelation, it speaks about God's plan to restore humanity after  it's fall...It's all about Jesus and the Father's great love for us all.

Anyway, just want to share with you the card I made featuring the free Word Art (Matthew 6:21) that is available for your download.  Just visit the Word Art Wednesday Blog and you can avail of this freebie.  You can use it in your projects and then, linked it up in our Challenge.  It's not mandatory to use the Word Art to join...If you have any creation with uplifting message, you are most welcome to join the fun.  We have great prizes available for the winner.  We are sponsored this week by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps so, here's my card highlighting one of our sponsor's images.  This one is called "A Little Birdie Told Me,"  which I colored with my ProMarker and Prismacolor markers.  For the base card, I tried using a lunch bag...yes, a LUNCH BAG!  I've seen a few projects that used it for mini albums but since I don't have the time to make one, I decided I will try a card.  it worked so well because the pocket that was created can be used to tuck in photos, tags, Bible verses or even a gift card...Awesome! It took a while to create because I had to mat everything to reinforce the card.  I used 2 DP's from K & Company and the Cloud DP is from my stash.  I added a red satin ribbon, shiny gems, a red crochet flower (I made and sell), gold glitters (Stickles) in the center of the flowers and a gold brad.  The "love sentiment" is a clear border stamp from Fiskars and the "Memories" sentiment is from Paper Studio. I also inked some of the panel's edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink---Walnut Stain.  Finally, I stitch all over this card...This came out bigger and bulkier than my usual cards and measured approximately 6.75-inch square so, I had to make an envelope-box that is .75-inch thick and nearly 7-inch square.  It took me sometime but this card looks wonderful.

WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS POCKET CARD WITH ENVELOPE-BOX:

I remember as a child being taught the verse in Luke 10:27a which says " “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind."  Although the religion I grew up with mentioned this from time to time, I didn't fully understand what this was all about till I entered into an intimate relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  He was the perfect example of this verse---how He loved the Father and obeyed His Will till His death on the Cross that when He rose again, He was given all power and authority which He then delegated to those who put their faith in Him.  Jesus' "TREASURE" is His Oneness with the Father and that wonderful relationship sustained Him even through temptation, pain and death.  So, what do we consider treasures in this life?  Is it your career, your status, power, good looks, wealth, just to name a few?  The Bible says in Luke 21:33, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."  This means that everything that man values in this earth will end and when it's time to leave this place, we cannot take anything so, I encourage you to place your heart in treasures that will not be destroyed---not temporary but eternal!  Jesus has the Words of Life.  Come to Him!

Nobody Does It Better Hunting Card---Time for Another Challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions...

Hello there, Crafty people!  Wow, October is almost gone and I'm getting busier each day.  I need to prepare for a Christmas Shop showcase at our Church and I realized I need to make more stuff to sell before that day comes.  We have gone through some trials the past few months but as always, the Lord Jesus has been our strength and victory.  I'm grateful for every trial because it makes me appreciate the victory at the end even more. Apart from Him, we can do nothing.  (John 15:5)

Anyway, I had to break away from the busy routine of life to make this project for our JDE Color Challenge this week and the colors are...Orange, Brown and Teal.  We're giving away some wonderful prizes to those who would join so, hop on over the JDE Blog to check the rules and link up your projects...I didn't realize how challenging it is for me to follow a color scheme till I made this card.  I guess I am use to not worrying much about the color combo than the over-all appearance of the project.  But with God by my side, everything went well...I used a Bugaboo image which I had for a while now but haven't used called "Gus Hunting."  I had fun coloring it using my ProMarkers and Prismacolor markers and added some Glossy Accents to his eye glasses.  I inked the panel that has the image with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The DP's are all from My Mind's Eye "Boy Stack." For embellishment, I adhered 2 colors of brads---orange and teal (3 each), added some twine and a couple of die-cuts---border from EK Success and corner from Cuttlebug.  I also rounded the panel using my Corner Chomper from Memory Keepers.  The wonderful sentiment is a freebie from TLC Digi Stamp Collection.   Finally, I stitched all over the card and envelope panel to give it an edge...I am happy with the results. This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Catch the Bug featuring "October Bingo" (Diagonal--P (polka dot), Sentiment, 3 DP's)

EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT EASEL CARD WITH ENVELOPE-BOX:

This has been an inspirational project for me because the truth of this scripture is plain to see to anyone who would take the time to look at God's creation and recognize His remarkable knowledge and power.  Everything has it's order,  purpose, meaning and a destiny.  We look at the verses in Genesis 1 and we'll see that God looked at each creation He made everyday to the fifth day and saw that they were all good.   He then created man on the 6th day and made us unto His own image and likeness and at the end of this Chapter, He looked at everything He hath made and He said, "Behold, it was very good."

This shows me that everything God has created is perfect and is made with a good purpose.  But when man fell into the same sin of rebellion that the enemy originally committed, we all woke up to our imperfection and the battle went on.  But the good news is, Jesus came to restore us to our original place where we can freely come the the Father and experienced all the good things Adam lost.  Jesus is the Only Way, the Truth and the Life and No One can come to the Father but by Him (John 14:6).  He is the One and Perfect Gift that the Father gave us that we should put our faith on.  He is our ONLY way out...I received Jesus Christ in my life as my personal Lord and Savior. God Almighty has translated me from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of His dear beloved Son."  (Colossians 1:13)....To Him be the glory!

Scripture Series: Be Kind to One Another Card---Get Ready for Another Inspiring Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Good morning, everybody!  It's the middle of the week and it's time for a new Challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  I've been in the DT world for about 3 months and about a month at Word Art Wednesday but it's still weird for me to make a card/several cards in a week...It usually takes me 2 weeks or longer before posting a new card...LOL But I am thankful that I get to join the DT world because now, I am getting more projects done and the motivation to inspire people is really high.  It's extremely difficult at times when the creative juice is not readily available but for me personally, I realize that those were the times I actually create wonderful projects because the creativity comes from way beyond me.  It's those times when God takes over and make something beautiful with what I have.  I admire people that plan their lay-outs and know exactly what they want to make but in my case, starting with coloring the image; everything is at that moment.  Colors and color combos, patterned papers, embellishments and lay-outs are laid out as I go.  I am often amazed when I get done and find out how things work out beautifully.  Then I know, Jesus is always with me...

So, here's my card for your inspiration today at Word Art Wednesday.  As always, we are highlighting the scriptures and it's in Ephesians 4:32.  You can download it for free at our Challenge site and you can use it wherever you may see fit or create a project with it and join us at our Challenge.  However,  you can also join us by using any uplifting sentiment in your project.  Here, I used this wonderful rubber stamp image from Penny Black that I colored with my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  I used an A7 Kraft (pre-cut) base card from Paper Studio, chose 3 DP's from K & Company and CS with the colors brown, aqua blue and medium green for matting.  I used several of my Nestabilities dies to cut the frame and circles, layered and glittered some Prima flowers after attaching some ribbons and placed gems of various sizes in the flowers and all over the card and envelope.  And lastly, I stitched all over this card.  I enjoyed every minute of the creative process which took several hours but well worth the time.  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Simon Says Stamp featuring "Dies and/or Punches"
2.    Daisy Doodles featuring "Autumn (Golds and Browns)"
3.    Make it Monday featuring "Anything Goes"

BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER CARD WITH ENVELOPE:

I truly love the inspiration behind this verse: LOVE and FORGIVENESS!  These two words are easier said than done but the moment we receive the "Agape (Self-Sacrificing)" love that Jesus is freely giving us and understand the unselfish nature of God, our Almighty Father, it will be wrong for us to not love nor to forgive!  Jesus laid out a great example of how it is to love our neighbors, to do good to those that persecute us  (Romans 12:14:16) and to pray for those that seeks to hurt us (Luke 6:28).  A lot of times we run into problems with our family, friends and even the ones closest to us like parents, siblings or best friends.  It is important to live this verse in our hearts so that when tempted with pride, we can quickly refer to this verse and strive to patch things up.  It is very difficult to say "Sorry" but once we put it into practice, we'll realize that the peace and comfort  of obeying God's word is well worth any pride.  Hugs and great blessing to y'all!

Superheroes Birthday Easel Card...This One's for my Beloved Son!

Hello, everyone!  A couple of days ago, we celebrated both mine and my son's Birthday with some friends.  We went on vacation on the actual days of our birthdays and I don't want my son to miss out on the fun he can have with his friends so, we scrambled to put this party together.  I was not going to make a card for my little boy but realized that I have given cards before to all his friends during their birthdays and it would not be fair if I don't make one for him, my dear little one.  I am sure he would have understood my situation but my biggest Cardmaking fan deserves a card from his Mommy.  Since he is into Superheroes nowadays, I've made him an Easel Card featuring few of his fave Superheroes.

I used the BW images from Melonheadz collection and colored them individually with my ProMarker and Bic markers.   I started with an A7 Kraft base card (pre-cut), grey and black CS and a DP from my stash.  I used my Crop-A-dile to attach 6 eyelets and went online to put together a wonderful message to compliment my images.  The "too cool" sentiment located in the card and envelope was from Printworks. And finally, I stitched all over this card using regular and fancy stitches.  I love it and best of all, my little man love it too.  He even read the message of the card in front of his friends at the party when he was opening gifts.  Super!  I would like to hear what you think about this card by dropping me some comments. This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Make it Monday featuring "Anything Goes"
2.    Cutie Pie featuring "Use a Digi"
3.    Crafts and Me featuring "My Sentiments Exactly!"
4.    Robyn's Fetish featuring "Circles" (The eyelets are circles)

SUPERHEROES BIRTHDAY EASEL CARD WITH ENVELOPE:

Who does not like Superhero movies?  We all love the idea of men and women with super powers fighting against evil forces and saving the day.  Sad to say but most of the things we watch in the movies and TV are but fictionAs much as we want to see Superman flying all around us, The Hulk smashing the bad guys and Iron man blowing up nuclear and destructive weapons, they are not real.  But we have One real Superhero of all time! His name is JESUS!  He came, died, buried and resurrected for the sole purpose of saving humanity from not just present danger but for life eternal.   He is Omniscient (all-knowing), Omnipresent (everywhere-there's no place He's not) and the Bible declares He knows the very count of each of our hairs (Matthew 10:30).  Today, we are in grave danger as a nation and as a people.  Our choices will determine the kind of nation our children and our children's children will live on for the years to come.  I don't want to wake up one day and realize that our freedom was taken away from us and I didn't do anything to stop it.  So, empowered by my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, I will break the yokes of the enemy and expose the works of the devil in whichever way possible by proclaiming what Jesus has done for man's salvation, doing all my duties as a citizen of my country and pray for the welfare of this nation and the world.  We are made to be more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, our Lord (Romans 8:37)!  So arise, men and women of God! Go and fight the good fight of faith (1Timothy 6:12) in our daily lives, in our community, our state and our nation.  America and the nations of the world are worth fighting for!  I leave you with this verse today:

2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Here's is the Card I made for your inspiration.  I wanted to make the scripture message the focal point so, I reduced the clutter and kept  the card simple and elegant.  I used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders, an MS doily border punch, layered Prima flowers, MS leaf punch, button brads, dew drops and a wonderful digi image from Tiddly Inks called "Grow a Little Love."  I paper pieced her dress and colored her with my ProMarker/Prismacolor Markers.  I also adhered some heart gems on to the pot of hearts she was carrying and added some dots with my Gelly Roll Pen.  I then, stitched all over this Card for a great finished look.  So, what do you think, folks?  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

CHARITY--GROW A LITTLE LOVE CARD WITH ENVELOPE-BOX:

As I meditate on these verses, it gave me a glimpse on Who God really is.  His mercy, grace, compassion and faithfulness. He is the Truth that bears the Standard---a Standard in Whom all creation are supposed to abide by.  It provides me an understanding why God, the Father, sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from being eternally separated from Him. In as much as He is a "Just God", He was moved by His great love for us.  The Bible says in Romans 6:23:  "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." If you want to get to know Jesus and what He has done for you, let me know and I will be delighted to share His tremendous love to anyone who wishes to listen.  God bless and have an awesome day!
