Scripture Series: The Lord Bless and Keep You Center Step Card---Join the Fun of the Challenges at Word Art Wednesday and 613 Avenue Create!

Hello friends!  Hope you are having a wonderful midweek.  Today, I want to share with you a card that highlights the wonderful verse from Numbers 6:24-26 which says, "The LORD bless you and keep you;  the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."  If our eyes are wide open (including our spiritual eyes) and not just minding our own little world, we can see the blanket of deception that is hovering our country and the entire world.  Many people are drunk from their own worldly desires, their selfish gain that they could not discern anymore between right from wrong.  So, what exactly is right and true?  There is only one Source of Truth where we based the rightness of every behavior or action.---It is GOD'S WORD!  The basic laws that govern every country has it's foundations in itself from the Ten Commandments.  We are not to kill, commit adultery, steal and bear false witness (lie) among them.  Just with those, punishments had been arranged based on the degree each country placed upon the crime.  Bottom line is, to take away God and His Word and think that human beings can govern themselves based on nothing and convinced that it's even possible is a product of a SICK brain and a darkened spirit.  There is no inherent "human goodness" found in any of us unless we allow the Lord to take full control of our lives.  Remember free will?  We have a choice to live in total insanity and think of it as "intellectualism, moral relativism, humanism along with many other "isms!"  Think about billions of people walking on the face of the earth with each one thinking what they are doing is right and no one could contest their mindset because TRUTH is not established...Yes, think about that for a moment! When these barbaric Islamic terrorists and radicals think its noble for them to behead, burn and slit the throats of Christians (whose only practicing their faith) because an insane, false prophet told them to.  Scary thought, huh!  It is true, man without God will self destruct!  And while we examine the horrors of the past on how evil men have deceived many and killed countless people, we have allowed and are still allowing the same thing to happen by aiding ruthless, twisted, no concern for life, sodomy supporters/promoters to take the highest seat in our government and local offices.  In the deceptive name of tolerance, even many so- called Christians have shut their mouths and abandoned the true purpose of their existence---to be Salt and Light in this world.  I pray for those sleepers  to wake up and take their Godly place here on earth.  We are to fight with the full armor and weapon of God to identify and destroy the demonic agenda that portrays itself in our midst as "tolerance."  It is now proven that they that ask for it only want to receive that for themselves but are not willing to give that to others...

If you say that you are a believer of Jesus Christ and thinks that nothing is tragically wrong with our country and that deceitful agenda are non-existent, then I pray that you ask the Holy Spirit for discernment lest you have already been deceived.  It's time to take back the country that the founding fathers have established.  A country ruled by Godly principles---a love for God, concern for each other and love for country!  We are who we are right now because we raised the banner of God.  We are a fool to think that we can stand without Him.  So the verse I am sharing in this project today is my prayer for every person that are not ashamed to bear the name of Christ upon them.  Yes, the Lord is going to bless us a keep us.  The Lord is going to reflect His glory in our lives and will uphold us with his compassion.  And in this time of terror and chaos, He's placed upon us His peace.  We are secured not because of finances, influence, the country we live in, armed soldiers and the physical weapons we possess...Our security comes from the grace of God and His faithfulness from beginning to end.  If we say we serve Him, do it wholeheartedly and with passion. There's no room for lukewarmness nor coldness.  Let's take our place and do what God-loving citizens do---Be Salt and Light, speak God's Truth without apology and take appropriate/necessary actions to drive the demons out of this nation no matter what.  I've taken my place!  How about you?  I want to share God's Word to remind you of God's protection for them that love Him:

PSALM 91:
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the AlmightyI will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.  You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,  nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.  A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge-- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;  they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.  "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

So, here's the card I came up with. I used an image from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps called "You are my Sunshine" that I colored with my ProMakers and Prismacolor markers.  The base is white, cut and scored to make a 5.5 inches center step card.  The DP's are from Paper Studio.  The lacy square was die-cit with my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug.  The fence border was from MS Punch.  The layered flowers are from Prima, the ribbon from my stash, the rose in the middle as well as the brads are from Recollections and the glitters are Stickles-Diamond.  I love how it turned out pretty cute.

Fun/Humor Series: Cats and Potato Chips Center Step Card---This was Fun to Make!

Hello there!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  I know, it's been a week and a half since my last post.  Did anybody miss me? I hope so because I did miss the Blogging world.  But I am not having a down time, I tell you! I had several cards that I needed to finish and send off and just the other day, it was done.  So thankful for the strength, ability and inspiration the Lord has given me to do what I love and at the same time, inspire people to get to know the Source---The God who made everything!

Today, I just thought about all the terror that evil men  are spreading by unmercifully killing anyone who does not believe in their (false!) god.  Have you noticed that they don't kill just anybody but  specifically targets people who bears the name of Christ!  I have not seen their disgusting videos in full length but have seen enough of their purely demonic way of executing Christians. On the other hand, have you ever wondered what goes in the mind of every Christian as they were held and taken to the place where their lives will be cut short in the most inhumane/torturous way?  Did they even consider getting out of that misery by denouncing their faith in Christ and embracing their captors false religion to save their lives?  I remember the story of Daniel who was thrown in the den of lions (Daniel 6) because he would not cease praying to the One True God despite the threats to his life upon violation of the king's decree (law).  I love how the Scripture detailed the conversation between the king and Daniel after the latter spent the night with the hungry lions. Daniel 6:20-27 which says, " When he (the king) came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?" Daniel answered, "O king, live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king. The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. At the king's command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions' den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones. Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land: "May you prosper greatly! "I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. "For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never endHe rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions."  Daniel didn't change his mind in the midst of the peril and held on to what he knew was true---that the God He was serving is an everlasting God Who does not only hold the past and the present but his eternal existence in the palm of His hands.  There are many stories of Christians that were saved from sure death or those that find safety after being tortured in the enemy's camp yet there are those who perished.  The bottom line is we should hold fast to the promises that Almighty God revealed in our lives through the finished work (death, burial and resurrection) of Jesus Christ!   In trials and testing (both physical and spiritual), we should have far more than our own strength and abilities to carry us through.  It is not enough to just know Jesus through what others say about him.  It is a must that we "personally" know HIM---Who He is, His ways, His ultimate sacrifice for mankind, the depth of His love for each of us  and what He has in store for them that responded to His call.   He dwells inside every believer who has accepted Him as Lord and Savior (Born-Again, John 3:3) and that He feels, sees and understands our every pain.  He is the Firm and Immovable Rock in Whom we stand and He is our Life,  Source and Strength.

You see, people are dying nowadays (tortured, beaten, burned, beheaded) because they would not give up their relationship with Christ.  I submit to you that there is far more at stake in upholding the name of Jesus that is worth dying for.  Our life here on earth is nothing in comparison to the everlasting life we are to receive when we come face to face with our Savior.  Time and distance will no longer be  factors and the overwhelming love and light that comes from the Source of it all---Our Father Almighty shall sustain us forevermore!  Yet, we should know the horrors that await those who wouldn't receive Christ' gift of salvation in their lives.  They may seem to have power while on earth but they will spend forever weeping and gnashing their teeth outside of the presence of God (no good thing is ever present) forever.  So, I pray that we entrust our lives fully to the Lord Jesus Christ and refuse to be slaves to the fear of death so as not to be enslaved by Satan.  It's an understatement to say to every believer of the Lord,  "We have a bright future!"  There are no words that will describe  the beauty, peace and joy that awaits us in God's presence.  Like the rest of our brethren who have gone home to be with the Lord and those who were killed because of their love for God, we must hold steadfast to what Christ taught us and consider carefully what Jesus uttered in Mark 8:34-38--- "Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels." I pray for God's grace to be able to lift up His name without apology or compromise in the gathering of men---free from fear, no matter what!

Anyway, on the lighter side of things,  I have finally made another card from one of the stamps in my Art Impressions clear stamp collection.  I just love this adorable image and had fun coloring it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base card is white, cut and scored to make a 5.5 inches center step card.  A couple of the DP's are from American Crafts and some are from my scraps.  I used my Nestabilities and Cuttlebug to die-cut the lacy oval, added several plastic bead by Bead Design and for the final touch---lots and lots of stitching.  Hope you enjoy this too.

Okay friends, this is all for this post!   I hope you will join me in praying for every Christian that fights the good fight of faith daily in this evil times.  Many prophecies in the scriptures are being fulfilled in our day and they all point to the second coming of Christ.  Jesus is coming first for His Bride---the Church (comprised of everyone who trusted in Him) and we will be taken away (Rapture of the Church) together with them who were dead in Christ!  And so we shall forever be with the Lord!  Let us not tire of sharing the hope we have so that more people can be saved from the horrors that would befall the ungodly soon and very soon.  Hugs and blessings!

Fun/Humor Series: Little Something to Share Card...Don't Forget to Check Out This Week's Challenges at Word Art Wednesday and 613 Avenue Create!

Hello there friends!  It's been a week and I'm so glad I was able to squeeze in the time to make this project I want to share with you today.  Like I mentioned in my previous post, I purposely took some time off from my DT groups (so grateful for my DT leaders and their understanding) just to have time to catch up with my other hobbies, make something from the wonderful stamps in my stash and to try out some of the crafting tools I've acquired that after a year or so I have not even taken out of their boxes....My, oh my!  It's almost the middle of the month and sadly, many of them are still in boxes...LOL.  I hope to accomplish what I wanted to do before I go back to my regular DT sched by next month.  In my own strength, I know I can't---but with God, all things are possible!

I must tell you that since I was a kid, I love to engage in detailed, crafting work.  I was taught how to crochet by my Grandma when I was 5 years old.  Though it was an informal once in a while training,  it was amazing how the basic stitches stayed in my head.  Years later, I also learned to create flower vases out of  Popsicle sticks after I saw my Mom made them for friends back when I was 9 or 10 years old.  At 18, I saw a friend with a cross stitch kit, tried it and was able to make 12 complete designs from simple to complicated in a year's time, all framed and displayed today in my brother's home.  Before my son was born nearly a decade ago, I got into Scrapbooking and made 3 albums. Shortly after that while browsing online, I took an interest and ventured into Card making which started this Blog. What can I say, I just love to craft!  When I go to a Craft Store, there are so many times I would love to get a tool and materials for other hobbies like jewelry making (beading), knitting, quilting, quilling, sewing and so much more. I had to talk myself out of them for I know I will not have the time and space to add more from what I already have now.  At one time, I had to ask my Bible Class Pastor if all these hobbies, skills and talents we were gifted with will have its place as we live in the presence of the Lord?  And both of us agreed that all of the wonderful things the Lord equipped us with will surely have it's place in the worship and service of the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  In the story shared by Jesus about Lazarus and the rich man found in Luke 16:19-31, both this men died and Lazarus went were Abraham dwell and the rich man in the place of torment (Hell).  The rich man's body was buried on earth but his soul (made up of mind, will and emotions) and his spirit (made up of conscience, communion and intuition) proceeded to eternity.  We can see this man's reality as we continue reading the story on how he remembers what he had, what he's done, his relationships and how he was concerned and knew the way of life his parents/siblings were engaged with who were still in the body.  Every memory was intact and emotions and wishes were present.  God promised every believer in Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."  While all the things that brought us pain and sorrow will be taken away by the Lord, I am convinced that the things that made each one unique from one another will stay with us---even the talents/abilities that God formed us with.  I know that God will use all these crafting talents (together with many other talents) He had blessed me with to glorify Him and for our service to one another.  I know that everything we do for the Lord will never be wasted.  The life we have here is our training ground for our eternal existence.  I pray we use our talents and time wisely as we give the Lord all the glory for His goodness both now and forever.   I want to share with you the following verses to excite you on the life that awaits every Born-again (Born from above, John 3:3) believer in the presence of Almighty God.

"If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." (1 Peter 4:11)

"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen."  (Revelation 1:5-6)

"And they sung a new song, saying , Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain , and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
And I beheld , and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying , Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."  (Revelation 5:9-13)

Anyway, here's one of the images I've been wanting to play with.  I have quite a bit of stamps from Art Impressions as I just love the humor in their images.  Since "Heart's Day" is around the corner, I started with this image and sentiment called "Wanna Share Set" and colored it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is Kraft---cut and scored to make a 5.5 inches square card.  The DP's are from Paper Studio, layered flowers from Prima, die-cut swirl by Sizzix, glitters by Stickles (Crystal) and little heart gems from Imaginisce.  I punched some of the panels using an MS Punch and added a white brad in the center of the flowers.  Lastly, I stitched all over this card.  Hope to be making more fun cards like this one in the next coming days.  Lots of images to highlight yet so little time...LOL

Not a Card but Wonderful Crochet Flower Necklaces...

Hello there friends!  This month, I have taken a break from all my DT responsibilities in order to do some stuff that I've been wanting to do for a while.  It's fun to be part of wonderful and creative teams but it can also restrict us creatively at times having to work with some specifics.  I do hope I can manage to squeeze some of the cute and funny images I wanted to highlight in future projects with the amount of time I have realizing that February is the shortest month of the year...LOL  I had some wonderful people visited my ETSY SHOP recently and have blessed me with some orders.  Now, that's going to be a priority!  I know that God brings people to our lives at a very precise moment.  I already mentioned many times that I don't believe in luck, fortune or coincidence.  The Bible declares in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."  People come into our lives to either bless us or be blessed by us.  There are times when we have plenty and the Lord wants us to share our blessings to someone he's going to bring to our lives.  It does not have to be monetary every time.  It could be our time, our talents, a shoulder to cry on, a pat on the back, a warm hug or a listening ear.  And there's also those times when we are the ones in need and hope that someone at least cares to find out how we're doing.  I've been in both sides of the spectrum and I found out that even when I am in need, God sends other people who have an immediate need than I do.  I remember one morning when we were praying at the Church as we prepare to escort people into praise and worship and a brother arrived and mentioned being thankful that there was enough gas in his car to come and join us yet concerned---not knowing how he would go home with an empty tank.  God spoke to me right there and then (in His still, small voice) to do something about it but I thought to myself, we were really tight financially as well.  So, we went and sing and all through the duration of the Church service, that conviction never left me.  I finally decided it's time to obey and bless this brethren at the end of the service.  Even though I was unable to fill up his tank, I gave what I could in order to make sure he could go home and make a few more trips.  I am not saying this to impress anybody.  Obviously, there's nothing in my own goodness that could have prompted me to do that.  As a believer of Jesus, Born-again (John 3:3) in His Kingdom,  Christ lives inside of me so, it is the very heart of God that beats inside my heartIt beats compassion, mercy and love.  It is Christ in me that is capable of blessing people even in the time of need/trials in my own life.  God does not look at the amount of money we can give to help others.  He looks at our obedience---the willingness to do His work when He prompts us to do it.  We are vessels of honor for the One who bought us with a price!  This is why Galatians 2:20 is so alive in my heart as it declares. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

You see, God knows our every need and He is the Provider of every blessing.   It is very important that whatever we are going through, that we rely upon Him for both our coming in and going out.  It's easy to feel hopeless when we are waiting for a blessing and we are not seeing it come to pass.  The emotional dilemma is great and at many times I asked the Lord to carry me through when I could not see a glimpse of light anywhere.  It's in those moments that we need to let the "Light" inside our hearts to shine forth and to lead the way.  The Bible declares in Psalm 119:104-107, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.  I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.  I have suffered much; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word."  God's Word is written as our manual to live and navigate the life we have on this earth.  Knowing the Lord's way and purpose through His Word will make it easy for us to listen to His voice.  As you head out and carry out your daily routine, be open to the possibility of being blessed or becoming a blessing to somebody else.  Such is the life led by true sons and daughters of the the Most High God!  I want to share with you these passages about Elijah and the widow at Zarephath which shows the benefits of obedience.

"Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the Lord came to him:  Go at once to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food."  So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, "Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?"  As she was going to get it, he called, "And bring me, please, a piece of bread."  "As surely as the LORD your God lives," she replied, "I don't have any bread--only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it--and die."  Elijah said to her, "Don't be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son.  For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land.' "  She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family.  For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah." (I Kings 17:7-16)

So here's an inspiration craft I want to share with you today.  I have been making crochet flowers for a while now and I decided to take it up a notch and make necklaces out of them.  I wear them all the time and coordinate them with my fave clothing from rugged to elegant.  If you are interested to get some of these stylish goodies you can pick them up in my ETSY STORE!  (Note, this post is picture heavy!)
