How Many Fingers Birthday Card...

It's another Monday and having such a lazy day here. The weekend has been busy for us so, took a little time before I was able to get this project ready for posting here.  Anyway, this is the Card I made for a 3-year old girl that had her birthday recently.  The beautiful image is from Mo Manning and the first time I saw it, I knew right away I wanted it for this little girl.  She resembles a lot of her physical characteristics so, I know I got to have it.  I used an A7 Kraft card base.  I colored the image with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers, add some inking with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink, assembled several Prima flowers and added some metallic brads on them, applied some glitters (stickles) on all flowers including the flower in the image's shirt and  punched a few leaves from MS Punch and included several gems.  I also punched a Recollections Cupcake border in 2 colors for both outside and inside of the card.  The DP's are from my scraps (don't remember which company they belong), included a couple of doilies and stitched all over.  I was amazed at how adorable this project came to be after I added the sentiment from Inkadinkado. The image and the sentiment complimented each other well.  The stamps used for the envelope came from Studio G.  I got many compliments when I gave this to the little girl, from parents and visitors.  I am so happy!  So, what do you think, guys?  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

HOW MANY FINGERS BIRTHDAY CARD WITH ENVELOPE:

At the end of the day, it feels good to have created something beautiful knowing that when I started, I don't really have much idea what the lay-out and theme was going to be.  All I can say is that my inspiration comes from having the Lord Jesus in my life.  When I am at a lost, I call unto Him and like a kid, ask for whatever it is I need.  Be it wisdom, understanding, creativity, clarity, direction...everything!  And He is faithful!  It's good to know I am not alone and Someone bigger than me is in control.  Have a blessed day and hope to hear from y'all!

  15. This card is just precious... such a cute image and lovely coloring and embellishments! Nice to see someone from San Antonio... grew uop there, I was an Air Force brat. My mom still lives there and just visited her 3 weeks ago, went to Sea World and Fiesta Tx and the riverwalk. I am not touristy, but my husband has never been to the riverwalk, so had to do that.

Anyway, thanks for joining us at Fashionista this challenge..

    1. Hi Rina...Glad to know that you grew up here and had a chance to visit your Mom recently. I hope your hubby had a wonderful time. I came originally from the Philippines and after I married my hubby, I started to live here. I can count the number of times we were at the Tourist areas here. That's because we are not loving the crowded streets and the parking situation...LOL But I love it here, excluding the triple digit weather in the summer...Hugs and thanks for the nice comment.
