Scalloped Inspired Birthday Card...

Oh wow, it's been a while since my last post and had been busy for the past couple of weeks.  But sure want to share this card that I made last night to give to my friend's daughter who just turned 1 a week ago.  I cut the scallop circles and squares from the Mini Monogram Cricut Cart several months ago and never really thought what I would use it for. I was glad I did as it sure came handy in making this last minute card.  I entered this card into the following challenges:

1.  Crafty Creations featuring Paper Piecing
2.  Little Red Wagon featuring Sketch
3.  Crafty Ann's featuring "Let the Sunshine In"  (my creation has bright colors)

SWEET SCALLOPS BIRTHDAY CARD:
This is probably the fastest card I ever made as the scallops were already cut a while back.  Just had to use a little imagination and make use of the resources that I have readily available...With some inking, stickles, accent borders and embossing, all went great with this project.

SWEET SCALLOPS BIRTHDAY CARD (INSIDE):
I love this sentiment stamp and the Birthday sentiment on the front of the card from Printworks Clearly Defined clear stamps. The flower image is from Sandylion.  I decided to decorate the inside just for the fun of it and I am glad I did.  The colors turned bright and happy.

SWEET SCALLOPS BIRTHDAY CARD (WITH ENVELOPE):
All went great for this card and I am very happy with the result...I cannot make it happier than it already is.  I think coloring the image in the envelope gave a nice touch.

My friend and her daughter loved it and that's all that really matters.  Let me know what you think about this project as I sure appreciate all your inputs...Hugs to all!

  1. A great card Jo Ann, I wouldn't have believed it was a last minute one if you hadn't said. Beautiful and bright and perfect for a one year old. Thank you for joining us at Crafty Ann's again.
Just one thing - you forgot to link your card to Mr Linky or put a link in with your comment. I found you by backtracking and would hate for you to miss out on other people seeing this lovely creation so it's still fine for you to add the link to Mr Linky.

  2. Hi Ann...Thanks for giving me a heads up about Mr. Linky...I found out what happened. I accidentally link this card on the previous challenge, LOL! I usually pay close attention to stuff but I could be sleepy that time...Anyway, I did link to the right challenge and appreciate all your wonderful comments.

  5. Ahhh - I didn't think to check the previous challenge Jo Ann! I think I'll have to get into the habit of closing them as they finish so that it can't happen with anyone else either. I'm pleased you made it though, it's a joy to see your lovely work.
