Scripture Series: Wisdom from Above Card---Join the Fun in our Inspirational/Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  This is the final day of 2014 and want to greet you all a Blessed and Happy New Year ahead...I'm going to highlight my project for our Inspirational/Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday (WAW)We have a wonderful Scripture Word Art that you can download for free at our WAW site and it comes from James 3:17 which says, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."  I love what is shared about this verse in my Life Application Bible and want to share them with you. It states, "Have you ever known anyone  who claimed to be wise but who acted foolishly? True wisdom can be measured by the depth of a person's character.  Just as you can identify a tree by the type of fruit it produces, you can evaluate your wisdom by the way you act.  Foolishness leads to disorder, but wisdom leads to peace and goodness.  Are you tempted to escalate the conflict, pass on the gossip, or fan the fire of discord? Careful, winsome speech and wise, loving words are the seeds of peace.  God loves the peacemakers (Matthew 5:9)."

I know that this is easier said than done and all of us are guilty of escalating things to a whole new level whether intentionally or unintentionally.  The development of our character does not happen overnight.  It has to start from the same place though.  That is to repent of our sins, accept Christ as our personal Savior and Lord and  be Born-again into God's Kingdom.  We may have loads of baggage from our old life and we are to surrender them all to the Lordship of Jesus Christ so that He is able to turn them into something good.  The word of God says in Romans 8:28-29. " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.  For whom he did foreknow , he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren."  By taking in the Word of God, we are to flushed every worldly thoughts, principles and belief system that fall short of God's standards and take in new thoughts.  Our minds need to be renewed and taking time to study the Word of God is a sure way to do it.  But it is not enough to just know about it, we have to put these Godly principles into action.  Whether we speak or act, we have to remember that both have to give glory to God.  Our accountability is first and foremost unto Him and then to one another.  The Holy Spirit works inside of us to transform us to the likeness of our Savior, Jesus Christ!  We cannot do this on our own instead, we have to be sensitive to His leading and His will in our lives at every given situation.  When you think of purity, peace, gentleness, reason, mercy, fruitfulness with fairness and transparency---you are showing forth wisdom that can solely come from above. Wisdom is a gift from God!  It is the ability to discern what is true, right, or lasting at any given situation.  Wisdom is what God will bless us with in order for us to glorify Him with the knowledge we have of Him. Want to share with you verses that helps us desire wisdom everyday:

"Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding,  for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold."  (Proverbs 3:13-14)

"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are,  so that no one may boast before him.  It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.  Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:27-31)

"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." (Colossians 2:2-3)

For this Card, I used an image from Saturated Canary called " Princess Zella" and colored it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base card is a blue Core'dinations CS, cut and scored to make a 5.5 inches square card.  The flowery DP is from Paper Studio, the laces from my stash and the white nail head gems from Imaginisce.  I embossed one of the panels using a Paper Studio folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug.  The die cuts are from Spellbinders and I layered some flowers from Prima. I added a brad in the center of the flower and used glitters (Stickles-Crystal) to add sparkle to it.  Lastly, I stitched some fancy and regular stitches  on this card.  Hope you love it!

CAS Series: Each of Us a Blessing Card

Hello guys...Finally, I'm in my final and the twelfth CAS card to post here.  This was requested by a friend to give to her hubby whose into grilling.  The image is from Dustin Pike Digi Stamps that I colored with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers. The base is a Kraft A2 card that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  I used a couple of embossing folders from Paper Studio as well.  The sentiment is from Printworks and the envelope sentiment is from Studio G.  I scribbled the sentiment in the image's apron and added some gems.  Finally, I stitched all over this card.

I want to encourage you with God's Word in Philippians 2:1-5 and it states, " If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,  then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:" As we encourage our fellow believers in growth, love and harmony in the Body of Christ, we are showing to unbelievers how it is to live in God's Kingdom.  They will see a difference that would encourage them to take the step to knowing God.  When we do away with selfishness but collectively think about each others welfare, we are showing forth the heart of our Father.  Let us continue to yield unto Jesus and allow His Holy Spirit to shape us into His likeness everyday.  God bless y'all!

CAS Series: Karate Birthday Card

The New Year is fast approaching and I am on a mission to get all my cards (mostly CAS) to post before this year is over...So, here's my eleventh CAS card to highlight.  This was for the son of my Church friend on his recent Birthday.  The kid was into martial arts so, I found this stamp that was in my stash for years and have not used yet.  It's from Stampabilities and I colored it with my Prismacolor markers.  The sentiments are from Stampendous.  The base is a white A2 card that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  The DP is from my scraps and I included some washi tapes from Tapeworks.  This came out so cute...

Want to share with you God's Word in 2 Corinthians 3:3-5 which tells us, " For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."  In these days where sin is dismissed and replaced with disorder to avoid accountability, we are to stand for God's Word of Truth.  The weapons God has given us are not physical weapons, they are spirit (love, hope, faith, prayer, His Word as well as the Holy Spirit) are more than powerful to destroy Satan's bondage on people.  We can choose to use our own means to argue against someone's twisted opinions of God but that will just make matters worst.  We are to be firm in God's Word, established in prayer and act in the leading of the Holy Spirit as we exposed every work of the enemy at this day and time.  God bless!

CAS Series: Dropping a Line Fishing Kitty Card

It's the last day of the year and I'm highlighting a few more projects I made this year.  Been so busy that this card had to wait till the last day of the year to post...LOL  Anyway, this is another card that a friend of mine had asked me to make for her relative.  The main image is from Meljen's Digi Stamps that I colored with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is an A2 Kraft card that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  I did some embossing using one of my Cuttlebug folders, added a ribbon from my stash and my crochet flower ( find them in MY ETSY Store HERE).  I added a brad in the center of the flower and inked the image using Broken China Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from Studio G Stamps.  Lastly, I stitched all over this card.  Pretty cool!

Sharing with you the wonderful message of God's Word found in James 1:12 which says, " Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."  In this world, we are in no doubt going to encounter many trials.  Some may even be too hard to bear to the point of hopelessness.  We will be pressured on every side and our faith will be attacked in every direction.  We need to be grounded in the Word of God and saturate ourselves with every promise that God has given us.   These days are so evil that many people who were teaching sound Biblical doctrines are now deceived beyond reason.  God's crown of glory and honor are not found here on earth but to live forever in His presence is His eternal gift to us.  When trials come our way, always remember that what awaits us on the other side is far greater than what this world can offer and because of that, our heart should be filled with joy and peace even in the midst of hardships and chaos, firmly grounded in the finished work of Christ.

CAS Series: Be Adventurous Birthday Card

I'm almost done but have a couple more to post. This card I made for the son of my friend at Church.  The image is from Deasy Designs clear stamp set that I got as a prize for winning a Challenge I joined a while back.  It's too cute and perfect for boy projects.  I colored the image with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is a white CS, cut and scored to make an A2 card.  The DP's are part of my scraps and I added a few nail head gems from Imaginisce.  The inside sentiment is from Printworks.  I truly love this simple lay-out.

What I would love to share with you in this post is found in Psalm 103:15-18 and it says, "As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field;  the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.  But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children---with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts."  Our time here on earth is limited.  Our physical body will grow old and one day, will go back to the ground.  Yet our soul and spirit will enter life eternal in two eternal destinations...It's either eternally in the presence of God or eternally separated from God.  Those whose trust remained in the Lord by accepting the sacrifice accomplished on our behalf through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ during their earthly existence have nothing to fear about. when it comes to our eternal future.  God's promises can never be thwarted! And we are grateful for the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we have chosen the Victor's side.

CAS Series: One of a Kind Medic Card

Hello there...I'm down to my eight CAS card to highlight at this time.  This one is a special request by a friend to give to her relative a while back.  So I colored this image I got for free from Dearie Dolls using my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is a white A2 card that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  The DP's are from DCWV.  The stamped sentiment and heart are from Studio G stamps and the gems from Tulip.  I waited to computer generate the message for inside the card which was why the inside seemed unfinished.   I stitched all over this card and loved the result.  My friend was happy...

Sharing God's Word in Ephesians 6:7:8 which tells us, "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men,  because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free."  Whatever we do and say, we are to make sure that it's going to please our Father.  If we are only aiming for rewards that this world could offer, you will miss the rewards that are eternally valuable.  Whether we are the boss or the employee, whether we mop floors and clean toilets or sit in a wonderful leather chair with a wonderful view, God gave each  one of us a task and that we are to use the resources God has given us not to be served but to serve people.  Aim for the rewards that no one can devour!  These are the rewards Born-again believers (John 3:3) are going to receive when we meet God face to face.  What a wonderful day it will be!

CAS Series: Birthday Cake Kitty Card

Hello again y'all!...And the posting continues...I am determined to have all the card I made this year in this Blog before the New Year and I'm getting there...LOL  So here is my seventh CAS card to share.  I made it for a friend's Birthday and it was last minute so this is what I came up with.  I used an image that I got from Cardmaking magazine a while back.  Truthfully,  I didn't care much what's in the magazine as the free set of clear stamps had me at first sight... Yes, I fell in love with the Bumper Stamp set created by Adam Pescott.  There are 8 stamps included for  $11 cost of magazine, I felt it was so worth it.  I hope every magazine gives cute and free images like that set.  Oh well, I take that back cause I will not have the budget to buy all of them...LOL  So I used one of the images and colored it with my Prismacolor markers.  I stamped the sentiment that came with the set and added a ribbon from my stash.  What can I say?  Hmm, it's simply perfect!

I am sharing God's Word to you in 2 Corinthians 9:8-10 which says, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."  Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness."  My Life Application Study Bible explained this well and I want to share it with you.--- "God gives us resources to use and invest for Him.  Paul uses the illustration of seed to explain that the resources that God gives us are not to be hidden, foolishly devoured, or thrown away.  Instead, they should be cultivated in order to produce more crops.  When we invest what God has given us in His work, He will provide us with even more to give in His service." God is awesome!

CAS Series: Time to Celebrate Birthday Card

Hello, Crafty Peeps!  I am working on double time right now to have a few more cards posted before we ring the New Year.  So this is my sixth CAS card to highlight in this Blog.  I made it for my friend's daughter on her birthday a while back.  This highlights another image from Mo Manning (you can tell she's one of my favorite digi designer...LOL) called "Angelina's Balloons" which I colored with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base card is A2 that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  The CS and DP were all from my scraps.  The lacy stamp border is from Recollections and the sentiment is from Hampton Art. I'm glad it turned out great.

Just want to share some wonderful passage to you from Psalm 5:11-12 and it says, "But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield."  Oh what a wonderful God we serve!  Through Christ, every promise God gave to us is not in vain.  It shall be fulfilled according to His Word.  We have nothing to fear for His eyes are always upon us, His children.

CAS Series: Cowboy Baby Shower Card

Hello folks...Here to share with you my fifth CAS card before the New Year comes.  I gave this to a friend of mine at the Church a while back.  This is one of the first stamps I purchased from Mo Manning (called "Tex") because it's super duper cute.  I colored it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers and inked the sides using Broken China Distress Ink.  The outside sentiment is from Clearly Wordsworth Clear Stamps while the inside sentiment is from Cloud 9 Clear Stamps. The base card is A2 that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  Aside from the coloring, this one finished in a breeze...

Here's another verse I want to share for this post comes from Matthew 18:2-6 which states, " He called a little child and had him stand among them.  And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.  But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."  We have a responsibility to our children and the youth of this world to guide them in the ways of God.  This task is not expected of unbelievers but those that have been washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ.  Let us not neglect every soul (little children or new believers in the faith) that God  brings our way.  We are to tell them the Truth written in God's Word and show them a life yielded unto God so that they may see a clear path.  Hugs and blessings!

CAS Series: One of a Kind Girl with Curlers Card

Here's my fourth CAS project to share before the New Year comes.  A friend of mine asked me to make this for a relative and I was happy to provide.  The image is from Broken Box Stock which I colored with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is an A2 card that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  The DP is from Paper Studio and the sentiment is from Studio G Stamps.  I used a border stamp from EK Success and adhered a crochet flower I made (if you want some, check MY ETSY Shop HERE) with a brad in the center and some brown ribbon.  I also stitched all over this card.  Simply cute, huh!

Just want to leave you some inspiration verses for this post from 1 Peter 3:3-4 and it says, "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.  Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."  We can make ourselves beautiful in the outside but that in itself will not last forever.  More than anything, desire to possess the inner beauty that comes from knowing our Lord.  If the inside is changed, the outward always follows.  Have a blessed day, everyone!

CAS Series: Congrats on Your Wee One Shower Card

Hi guys!  Here's the third card I want to share with you that I made quite a while back for a friend's Baby shower.   I know you are used to my layered design and I can truly say that I am glad I know my style.  But when I have to make last minute cards to go with my gifts, I venture into the next style  close to my heart.  Do you know that I find many inspiration from simple cards others make?  I also have lots of magazines that highlights CAS cards so, from the tons of layers to one layer cards, both styles are so fun to work with.

For this project, I used several stamps.  The image of a stick couple and all the sentiments came from Clearly Wordsworth Clear Stamps.  The background houses came from Heidi Grace Cling Rubber Stamps.  The base card is A2 size that comes in a set with an envelope from Paper Studio.  I used my Prismacolor markers for some coloring. I think it's pretty cool and most importantly, it was done in less than an hour which does not happen all the time in my creations.  Hope you like it!

but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world."
Let us pray to end abortion in our land and give babies a chance to live the life that God has purposed for them.  God bless y'all!

CAS Series: Light the Candles Birthday Card

Hi guys...This is the second card I wanted to post before the year ends.  I gave this to my friend on her birthday last week and she sure had a blast with it.  I made quite a few simple cards this year and didn't get a chance to highlight them so, you're going to see them in the next few postings.

I just love Art Impressions stamps and have quite a bit of collection already.  They are so fun and meets my qualifications of hilarious...LOL.  For this Card, I used the "Fire Out Set" from the Golden Oldies Collection (image and sentiment) and colored it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is white card measuring 5 x 6.5 inches that comes with an envelope from Paper Studio.  The DP's are from my scraps.  I used my 2 inches scallop punch from Paper Shapers to frame the sentiment.  I stamped a few other stamps from Stampendous (candles), Printworks (inside sentiment), and Art Impressions ("Bigger Cake" sentiment inside). I'm pretty happy with this creation.

Scripture: Angels Bring Good Tidings Card---Late Christmas Card Posting!

Hello there, guys!  I've been busy the past couple of weeks but I wanted to get all the cards I made this year to post before the year ends.  There's quite a few so, for the next several posting, I will just highlight some cards and reserve the inspirational post till next week when we unveil another Challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  There's so many things to share and so little time.  Any which way, I am sure you're going to see God's goodness in the projects I am highlighting beginning with this one.

This is the Card I sent to a friend of the family a couple of weeks ago and is pretty simple.  I bought the Stampendous Rubber stamp image (main image) on sale at Hobby Lobby (Yippeee---$1.24) and had fun coloring it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  I incorporated a couple of images from Stampendous (cling stamp) that I bought on sale last year at Michaels.  I printed the Scripture Word Art  that we shared recently at Word Art Wednesday and added some glitters (Stickles-Crytal), liquid pearls (White Opal) and a nail head gem.  I found the quote while I was searching online and I computer generated it for a heartfelt sentiment inside.  I always appreciate simple cards and I am glad that I am able to create some.  Hope you like it too.

Scripture Series: Good Work in You Card---It's Anything Goes at Word Art Wednesday! Join our Challenge...

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Here I am again to bring you the project I made for our Inspirational/Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday (WAW) which will last for two weeks as we take a one week break for Christmas.  The good thing about this is that you will have more time to link up your projects (up to 5) with more chances of winning one of our three fabulous prizes.  Today, we feature a Scripture Word Art that you can download for free at our WAW site It's taken from Philippians 1:6 which tells us, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."  When God created us, He equipped us with talents and abilities that is unique to each individual for the purpose of giving Him glory.  As His precious creation, He gave us the capacity to think and love.  We were walking in perfect harmony with Him and all was well with us till mankind decided to disobey and became slaves to Satan. From then on, our minds and hearts were filled with pride, rebellion and selfishness to the very God who brought us to life.  We became the enemies of God and was destined to suffer God's wrath forever.  Yet, God's plan can never be thwarted.  Before even the foundations of the earth were laid, the blue print of Man's salvation has already been arranged.  God's omniscience (all-knowing) can see through the end from the beginning.  He saw an eternal Kingdom filled with people from many nations with different colors and backgrounds who were saved by His grace through faith.  He saw past our rebellion, pride and wickedness to send His One and Only Son---Jesus Christ, to save everyone and anyone who would take His gift of salvation.  From the moment we accepted Jesus Christ and made Him the Lord and Savior of our lives, we became His dwelling place!  The Holy Spirit abides in us and He begins the good work inside of us.  We must understand that on our own, it would be impossible for us to do good.  Without the new birth (Born-Again, John 3:3), we were slaves to sin and Satan and would remain under curse just by virtue of our connection with Adam (the old self).  There's nothing any man can do to rid himself of the sin nature---Nothing!  It was necessary for us to die from the old self and to be Born-Again (born from above) to start all over.  As we begin a new day with Christ, we dedicate our lives to Him to be used for His glory.  Galatians 2:20 declares the life of a person who has come to the saving knowledge of Christ.  It clearly states, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

So, how do we live by faith in God?  We must believe, trust, rely, depend,  cling and place our hope solely in the finished work of Jesus Christ!  To know (without doubt) that we are one with Him in His death, burial and resurrection.  That the victory Christ has won at the cross was applied to our sins and that we are now free from all bondage of sin (sin-nature) and of Satan.  Therefore, we can truly do the work (divine work) that God has mandated us to do for we are no longer tainted by Adam's sin.  Since we have given Christ complete control of our lives, we now live and move according to His purpose.  Each day, He  eliminates the branches that don't bear fruit from our lives and allows new branches to flourish.  God's heart is love---full of grace and compassion.  His love is not selfish---it is SELFLESS!  It does not seek to bring glory to oneself but to give glory to the Father.  Each one of us are on different levels of God's working in our lives.  Not one of us has gotten it altogether---yet we are in the WORKS!  One day, we will see Jesus face to face and we will completely be transformed into His image and likeness. Until then, we follow the road He has set for us  remembering that we were once without hope till the Lord came and by His grace, our eyes were opened!   From the time we accepted Jesus into our lives, He started a wonderful work in us and we are to completely trust in His faithfulness to carry it through to completion as we fully yield to Him.  I want to share the following verses to remind us of how to live for Christ each day after our new birth:

DEAD TO SIN, ALIVE IN CHRIST
"What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?  By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?  Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?  We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.  If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.  For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--  because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.  Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.  For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.  The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.  In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.  Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.  Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.  For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace."  (Romans 6:1-14)

For this Card, I used an image from Mo Manning called "Fifi" and colored it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is a white CS, cut and scored to make a 5 x 6.5 inches card.  The DP came from my scraps and I incorporated a couple of Washi tapes from Tape Works.  I added some liquid pearls (White Opal), glitters (Stickles-Crystal) and finally stitching to complete this design.  In this very busy season, I just needed to make a simple yet fun card and felt that I achieved that with this creation.

Scripture Series: Tidings of Great Joy Center Step Card---Come and Join Us for Another Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Hello there, Crafty Peeps!  It's time to highlight another Scripture Word Art for our Inspirational/Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday (WAW).  It's downloadable for free at our WAW site.  It's taken from Luke 2:10 which says, "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold , I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people."  How often do we see miracles happen in our midst?  There are many things that happen in our lives that we don't even see as miracles---instead we attribute them to "luck."  For a person without God (without faith)---chance, good luck or bad luck seem to apply but for a believer, everything (good or bad) happens for a reason (Ecclesiastes 3).  The birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, had long been awaited upon by the Jews yet so many of them (even to these day) are still waiting.  They failed to recognize the miracle that happened in their midst more than 2,000 years ago.  From his birth to the manner of His death, everything pointed out to His life free of glory, wealth and fame.  Instead of announcing His birth to the kings and influential people of that time, the angel came to the humble shepherds or what we call the common people.  I love what my Bible say about this verse, "The good news about Jesus is that He comes to all, including the plain and the ordinary.  He comes to anyone with a heart humble enough to accept Him.  Whoever you are, whatever you do, you can have Jesus in your life.  Don't think you need extraordinary qualifications---He accepts you as you are."  That is so amazing...The God of heaven and earth, the Creator of everything that exists came to personally deliver me  and all of mankind from the bondage of sin!  That He cared enough to give His life so He can have eternal fellowship with me in His Kingdom!  I don't know with you but having known the depths of my Savior's love for me compelled me to love Him back.  The shepherds were terrified when they saw the angel for the glory of the Lord encompassed them.  After all, this was not an experience they encounter daily but their fears were confronted by an assurance that "There is nothing to fear (Fear not)."  For the angel of God brought the greatest news for all mankind (all the people) that brings exceeding joy to everyone who had long been waiting.  JESUS, our Savior was born and in Him, we have more than salvation.  We have been reconciled to our Father and His death, burial and resurrection caused us to live victoriously, eternally in His Kingdom as co-heirs with Christ.  And all we need is FAITH.

So whether we are young, old, rich, poor, weak or strong, famous or not---WE ALL NEED CHRIST!  Why?  Because men are all born sinners and needed His saving grace to break free from the bondage of Satan and his sin nature.  No amount of good works can eradicate that seal that Satan placed upon us except we be washed by the blood of Jesus.  From a child of the devil to a child of God, we need to be "Born-Again" (Born from above, John 3:3) which is the Only Way we can live free from the punishment (God's wrath) that will fall on rebellious and ungodly people.   Their place will be in the lake of fire destined for Satan and all his cohorts.  There will be eternal weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Those who have ears, listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying...Call upon the name of Jesus, repent from your sins and ask the Him to come into your life and be your Lord and Savior.  As you continue to seek His Word, He will change you from glory to glory.  Take the leap of "Faith" today and be Born-again into God's Kingdom.  Here are some verses to encourage us to stand in the hope we have in Christ.

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.  It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,  while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,  who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good." (Titus 2:11-14)

"The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.  To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ." (Colossians 1:26-28)

"Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy. We hated others, and they hated us.  But then God our Savior showed us his kindness and love.  He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit.  He generously poured out the Spirit upon us because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did.  He declared us not guilty because of his great kindness. And now we know that we will inherit eternal life." (Titus 3:3-7)

For my inspiration card today, I used several images from a couple of sets from Melonheadz and colored them with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  The base is white, cut and scored to make a 5.5 inches center step card design.  I used embossing folders from Cuttlebug and Darice as well as liquid embossing using Frantage (Shabby White) embossing powder for that melted snow effect.  My first time to use it and loving it.  The lacy oval was cut using Nestabilities and the snowflakes was cut with MS Punch.  I also added some white nail head gems, liquid pearls (white opal) and glitters (Stickles-Crystal).  I was originally planning for one simple card but like always, it turned out more complicated...LOL I am so glad it came out great though.
