Not a Card but a Scripture "Morning Stars Sang" Bookmark---It's Another Anything Goes (Inspirational) Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Hello there fellow Crafters!  And so, it's the the first day of 2014...A HAPPY AND FULL OF BLESSINGS NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! As we start the year, I can't help but thank the Lord because I know that He is about to do something bigger through me and everyone who has come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  We all experienced greater challenges in our walk with God as another year passed.  Many people have turned away from everything Godly and political correctness and tolerance (which is actually "intolerance" against those that live by the principles of the Gospel) is being encouraged by the far left media and politicians of our age.  But we should believe that God is doing and is going to do far greater things in the midst of all that!  Simply because HE SAID SO.  Here are some of the verses we should carry in our hearts as we go through another year testifying to the salvation that is only found in the finished work (Gospel) of Jesus Christ:

"You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob. Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes. I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame." (Psalm 44:4-7)

"I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." (Psalm 121)

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all."  (Isaiah 41:10-12)

"But be assured today that the LORD your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; he will subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, as the LORD has promised you." (Deuteronomy 9:3-6)

God did not promise us a world of tolerance (we have witnessed many people who have been killed through their faith in Christ throughout history) but as we familiarize ourselves with the life of Christ and His Word, we know that we are set to experience similar situations as unto our Lord Jesus Christ.  It does not take much for the world to hate you.  Just share God's Word and even your own family at times as well as the friends you taught were your best would decide to severe their ties with you simply because you have now began to change from the inside and out.  Those things you used to enjoy---drinking, wild parties, hard core music, drugs and many more are of no appeal to you anymore.  Instead, you proclaim the peace, grace, joy, love and the miracles you have experienced having known the Lord Jesus and allowing Him to take the Lordship of your life.  You no longer share their values of worldly morality instead, you elevated the Truth of God and His Word above your own definition of values, morality and even religion.   What I am trying to say here is that if you are truly living for the Lord, there's NO WAY the world would love you.  Everything that we exalt in this world is enmity with God.  If we choose the accolades of  men, then, we made the choice not to live for God.  We cannot serve two masters.  Following Jesus (living for Him) is not a bed of roses in this world yet it's full of hope and promises in the glory that is eternal.  God's Word in 1 John 2:24-25, "As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—eternal life."   I know that as I continue to proclaim God's Word and stand firm on His Truth, I will encounter persecutions but I know Who my protector is---God Almighty!  He's Triumphant, Absolute, Unchanging, Eternal.  Those who have taken the path that Jesus provided for us---rejoice with me for this New Year will be full of victories!

So, we have another wonderful Word Art to share with you for free at Word Art Wednesday (WAW). It features the verse in Job 38:7 which says, "while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?"  We began another Challenge today and I am sharing with you what I came up with for your inspiration.  For this project, I began by printing the free Word Art (by the lovely, Diane Noble) in the Kraft CS and used a "tag" rubber stamp image from Stampendous to stamp over the Word Art.  I  then cut the stamped image into its original shape and size.  I inked the images using 3 Distress Inks namely Broken China, Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade.  I blended the colors till I was completely satisfied.  I then stamped a silhouette flower image from Inkadinkado with a VersaMark Ink and applied a black embossing powder then, heat it with my heat tool.  I punched a small circle, applied the same combo of distress inks to it and adhered it on the top where I punched the hole.  I finished it all up by adhering some Butcher's Twine.  This was truly fun to make and distress and vintage is not commonly my style but I love venturing into different techniques once in a while.  I am pretty satisfied with the look and now, it is such a wonderful touch to the current book I am reading...Hope you like it.
