Scripture Series: Beautiful in His Time Card---Join Us for Another Anything Goes/Inspirational Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Hello there, Crafty friends!  It's Wednesday once again and I'm back with another scripture creation for our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday (WAW).  I am delighted to see that despite the craziness going on in our country and in the world, there are people who value the Word of God and does not allow fear to rule over their hearts.  In a world where political correctness tries to trump free speech, there is a principle that was given in our midst in which we must stand without apologies.   God, Who is the Creator of this world and everything that is good in it, has given us His Word!  Unlike man's word, God's Word is eternal and unchanging.  Numbers 23:19 clearly says, "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?  Likewise in the New Testament, James 1:17 declared this to us, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." This simply means that the principles laid out by God from before time existed are still the same principles we are governed by to this time.  As a believer and recipient of the forgiveness and salvation that Jesus Christ has won for us through the Gospel (which is His death, burial and resurrection), I live my life in accordance to the written revelation of God---The Scriptures!  As physical food provides nourishment for my physical body---the Word of God provides the nourishment for my spirit.  If I neglect feeding my body, I would be sick and malnourished.  Likewise, if I don't feed my spirit with God's Word, it will grow weak and will not be able to withstand the attacks of demonic forces whose out there day and night seeking whom they can devour (1 Peter 5:8).  You see, many people can quote a verse or two from the scripture, mostly out of context. Even the devil uses God's Word and twist it to deceive many.  At our day and time, many have chosen to justify their worldly lifestyle because they saw a verse in the Bible that says, God is love (1 John 4:8).  They claim that God loves them so much He will not put anyone in hell.  They focus too much on their own selfish idea of God's love  that they completely ignored His call for repentance (turning away from their sins) and surrender of their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  Because they so loved the lifestyle that their leading, they have committed idolatry by choosing worldly pleasures and the wickedness of this world against the knowledge and  glory of God.  Therefore, they have neglected every teaching of the righteous judgment that is to come against people who have chosen the ways of man rather than the ways of God.  The Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 1:18, "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."  I often wondered before how come a lot of people are not getting the message of the Gospel?  First, it is simple and second, it is free to those who would believe (faith).  All I needed to do is to surrender to Jesus' Lordship and allow Him to take over my life.  At a fallen state (born in Adam), there's nothing I could do to save myself.  Only Jesus, whose the God-Man, was qualified to ransom all of humanity.  Therefore, He alone deserves the glory.  I just needed to live each day according to His leading---fully dependent on His Word (promises).  Yet sad to say, many would not understand and will not be able to comprehend to their death, what Christ has done for them.  Why?  Simply because they have chosen to do it on their own.  Like Adam and Eve,  it's still the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life that continues to plague man---the very nature of Satan, himself.

So, as believers, what are we going to do at this time when political correctness is being shoved in our throats.  I pray for every believer to stand firm and hold on to the precious gift that God has given us through His Son, Jesus Christ!  To proclaim the full counsel of God without fear as Jesus proclaimed the Truth at whatever the cost.  When we lack the courage, draw from the courage that Jesus showed us, knowing that His presence will always abide in us and if we perish, we know that it's merely a period of transition and we will wake up in the presence of the Lord forever. Jesus spoke these words in Luke 9:23-25, "Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?  I believe that this scripture is still to this day, every person's challenge.  Increasing hostility to God's Word is seen and becoming more intense daily.  Are we going to stand beside Jesus or hide in fear?  Knowing the inheritance that we have in Christ, I pray that we stand strongly for the Lord. Let's bring our country and this world back to the saving knowledge of God.

Oh wow, God has given me such a strong message to post here.  I was not prepared for it but I have to deliver what the Lord wanted me to share and so, I am faithfully abiding.  Anyway, the free Scripture Word Art (by Karen Murray) that is highlighted in our Challenge today is found in Ecclesiastes 3:11 which says. "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."  I was extremely blessed by the explanation my Life Application Study Bible shared regarding this verse and it says---God has "set eternity in the hearts of men."  This means that we can never be completely satisfied with earthly pleasures and pursuits.  Because we are created in God's image, (1) we have a spiritual thirst, (2) we have eternal value, and (3) nothing but the eternal God can truly satisfy us.  God has built in us a restless yearning for the kind of perfect world that can only be found in His perfect rule.  He has given us a glimpse of the perfection of His creation.  But it is only a glimpse; we cannot see into the future or comprehend everything.  So we must trust God now and do His work on earth.---What more can I say?  All I know is that when meet Jesus face to face and live with Him eternally, we will see Him in the fulness of His glory.  Truly, what a a great moment that will be!  For my inspiration card, I used an image called "Ladybug Lady Stamp" from Sassy Cheryl's and I colored it with my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Chromatix markers.  The base is a white CS, cut and scored to make a 5.5-inches square card.  The DP's are all from Recollections and the ribbon from my stash.  The lacy oval is a Nestabilities die that I cut with my Cuttlebug.  The brad is from Paper Studio and the gems are from Tulip.  To finish, I stitched all over this card.  I'm pretty happy with the result.
