Scripture Series: His Angels Charge Over Me Card---It's Time For Another Inspirational/Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Hello there, friends!  It's midweek and I am back with an inspiration card for Word Art Wednesday (WAW).  Today, it's overcast and as I look outside my window, I don't see the usual blue skies and crispy sunshine that is common here in Texas.  But hey, it's April and showers come by once in a while.  How I wish a perfect weather is here to stay but seasons are necessary for earthly beings to survive.  Pretty much like our situations in life.  There are times of rejoicing and things seem to come easy without much struggles and then, we stumble upon the times when we fall and need to shed our leaves as we learn from the hard lessons of life. Then comes the stormy weather when things doesn't go our way and we sink into frustration.  But even though we pass through those different seasons, if we trust in the Lord in what Jesus has done for us through His death, burial and resurrection, we know that spring time comes and we can always start anew.  Yet, not with our own strength but from the victory that stems out of Jesus' finished work at the Cross.  And today's free Scripture Word Art is from the Book of Psalms 91:11 which tells us that no matter what season in our lives we are in, God has placed His angels charge over us to care, protect and help us.  They are spiritual beings that though we may not see, we encounter on a daily basis, as we trust in God's word.  I recall instances here and there when God's protection was upon me---some near accidents that could have ended my life---But God had a plan!  The Bible says in Psalm 39:4, "LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am."  Our God,  being Alpha and Omega, knows our beginning from our ending.  As we trust in His work in our lives, we know that no matter which season we are in, He is there with His ministering angels to make sure we are safe---not only in this lifetime but throughout eternity.  Everything starts by having a personal relationship with our Redeemer, JESUS CHRIST!  He is the Key that unlocks every door of blessing from On High.

So here's my inspiration card highlighting today Word Art that you can download for free at the WAW Blog.  I used one of Sherri Baldy's Bestie Digi Images which I have purchased recently called "Tina Tatters."  I paper pieced it with a Recollections DP and colored the remaining parts with my ProMarker/Prismacolor and Spectrum Noir markers.  I laid my panels in a 5.5 inches square card base, the CS are white, light blue, light pink and olive green.  The DP's are from many companies---K & Company, Recollections, DCWV and My Mind's Eye.  I die cut the scallop with my Nestabilities and cut several circles using my MS Small Circle Cutter.  I added some ribbon, layered some Prima flowers, placed a button brad from Recollections and added some white gems from Imaginisce.  It may be hard to see but I also have an Embroidery Border that is hidden in my panels that I cut with an MS Border Punch.  Lastly, there's tons of stitching done all over this card.  I had fun making this.

    1. Hi Mary...Thanks for becoming a follower and leaving such a wonderful comment. Yes, I printed the image twice---one in a white CS to color and the other is on a DP so that I can cut out part of her dress for paper piecing. Anyway, it's hard to live each day without God in our lives. It's like swimming against the current. The Bible says in Proverbs 13:15, "Good understanding gives favor: but the way of transgressors is hard." That is why we need to share the good news of the Gospel to everyone that they may come to know Christ and know what they've been missing all along. God bless!
