Hi guys!  This is the promised 2nd post this Sunday.  My family and I had a wonderful time in fellowship with the Body of Christ at our Church. I am so blessed at the revelation of God as shared by our Pastor today.   It's an eye opener to learn that all of us pass through these following stages of our lives and cannot escape them...That is BIRTH, DEATH, RESURRECTION, REWARDS (for believers...JUDGMENT for those that didn't believe) and ETERNITY.  All of us are born into this world carrying the sin nature that was deposited in Adam by the enemy (Satan) at the Fall of man, Unless that is extinguished by a new birth (Born-Again experience as mentioned in John 3:3) by faith in Jesus Christ in our time here on earth, we face Death with a horrifying truth---  the reality of facing our Creator without taking advantage of the saving grace found in Christ!  It does not matter whether we are a good person, how many people we helped, how rich or poor, famous or powerful we are because the issue is not base on what we accomplished or not accomplished here on earth...People are going to miss eternal life in Christ not by what they've done but by WHO THEY ARE!  Let me explain that---When something is broken at home like a pipe leakage, most of the time, we'll find something to temporarily patch the leak and though it may work for a while, it does not last because we have to literally remove the part that is broken, get into the core of the issue and replace the broken part.  The reason why any good works that we do, outside of faith and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, does not merit us in the sight of God is that it only covers what is broken in our lives but it does not solve the problem which is in our core---our spirits which lost it's relationship with our Creator since the Fall of Man.  The scripture states in Isaiah 64:6, "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away."  God knowing that man was bound hopelessly without any means of escape from eternal damnation, sent His One and Only Son, JESUS CHRIST, to solve the core of the problem---that is our SPIRITUAL SEPARATION from God.  The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Also in Romans 3:25, "God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood--to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished."  Notice in these couple of verses, no human effort was mentioned for there is no way we can get ourselves out of our situation except that we allow Jesus through faith (trust, believing) in what He has done (death, burial and resurrection) to pay the price to release us from the hands of the enemy.  If we reject the Only Way God has provided for us, we pay for our own sins by the law.  This brings us to either Rewards for Believer or sure judgment for those that rejected Christ.  For them that believe, we shall rule and reign with Christ---ETERNALLY!  For those that hardened their hearts and took the punishment of their sins on their own---ETERNAL SEPARATION FROM GOD in the Lake of Fire---FOREVER!  This may sound cruel to some of you but outside of the sacrifice and selfless LOVE that God demonstrated to us through His Son that He made available for us---God has given  HIS VERY BEST!  And for anyone to reject that FREE GIFT of SALVATION is outright rebellion and cruelty and insult to our Maker.  This statement stayed with me when quoted by my Bible teacher in class, "People will go to hell not because of what they've done but for who they are."  This means that just by being born naturally (In Adam), we are already destined to eternal damnation till we decide (free-will) to allow Jesus to take our place as ransom for our sins by faith in what He has already accomplished. Romans 1:17 states, "For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed--a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." Hence, the first problem to deal with is our CORE (Spiritual separation from God brought by the Fall) and Jesus addressed that in John 14:6:  “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."  We are just a breath away from our Eternal future, with whom do you want to spend it with and which place is it going to be?  Jesus is knocking at the door of your hearts right now?  It is best to let Him in...

Anyway, we have a New Challenge at MayzyArt this week.  It's Anything Goes with an optional theme---"Rainbow."  It was not easy for me to make a card with this theme as I am not  big fan or placing all the colors of the rainbow at least in one card...LOL  So, I colored this MayzyArt image called "Shapaholic" with all the colors of the rainbow (I actually had to call my 7-year old son to find out what the colors are and he was brilliant enough to tell me in order...LOL) using my Promarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  I laid all my panels to a Kraft 5.5-inch CS for my base card.  The DP's are from Recollections and K & Company.  I cut a couple of circles with my MS Circle Cutter, added some ribbon (from Ribbon Boutique) and layered some Prima flowers placing a brad in the center to hold it.  I stamped some flourishes from Inkadinkado to eliminate a lot of the blank space and incorporated a wonderful sentiment I got free from MMDesigns.  For the final touch, I got some of my Hotfix gems attached and stitched all over this card.  By the way, that fancy shape/border was just cut-out from one of my DP's.  I love it!  I love to hear your feedbacks about this creation.

It's the Tiny Blessings Maternity Card---See Some Exciting Changes at our MayzyArt Challenge...

Hi, everybody!  These past few days were extra crazy for me and I am so thankful that I have the Lord to help me create when I get so stressed out from the many roles I play in life.  I love Crafting and take away the deadlines on some projects needed to be submitted as a DT, Crafting truly relaxes me.  I love it when I get into every little detail of coloring, cutting, designing and putting things together as I make my cards or crochet a blanket, flowers, making tags or gifts.  It's awesome!  But when things are needed all at the same time, then my happy world turns crazy but then I realize,  I can depend on Jesus to get me through.  I want to tell you that every time I sit at my Craft table to make the cards I showcase here, I ask the Lord to help me select the image to use, the coloring of the images, lay-out and everything that has to do with putting a project together.  If you are blessed with what you see both in my post and projects, it's because I don't craft without my Father's inspiration in my life.  There are times I don't have any clue what to do and if it happened to you, you know that can really be frustrating.  Then, the Spirit of God in my heart would quicken me to pray and I would ask God to help me and lead me to whatever it is He wanted me to create.  As I start gathering my materials, a moment's time, I would have something in mind.  It makes me smile when at the end of every project, I could not figure out how my project turned out great.  And all I can say is, "It is God's work through me."  

For those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, God is with you and "IN YOU!"  We have to come to Him everyday for fellowship, whether we are happy or sad, good mood or bad mood.  The reason we were created is to depend on Him for each moments need.  I know we were taught and trained to be independent but independence applied to our relationship with God means "rebellion."  He does not want us to live each day without His guidance.  The truth of the matter is, we need Him whether we admit it or not."  Even the very contents of the air we breathe is regulated by our Creator, in that it contains the exact mixture of gasses that supports our survival.  A little bit more or less of oxygen will harm or kill us.  The very air that touches my face proves that there is a God who cares and keeps everything in order.  Some wanted to see miracles happening before their eyes in order to believe but I tell you, it's those little things we don't pay attention to that makes our life meaningful and if you only stop to glance at each of them, you'll see an impression of a loving and perfect Creator .  I want to share with you the following passages from the Bible declaring the awesomeness of our Creator, the One True God:

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." (Romans 1:20)

"But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; (Job 1:27)

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Psalm 19:1b)

So, here's a card I want to share with you for the MayzyArt Challenge.  I used "Mama Mina" from MayzyArt Shop and colored her with my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  I used a 5.5-inches square Kraft CS for my base card.  My DP's are from DCWV, My Mind's Eye and K& Company which are mostly scraps.  I matted them with coordinating colors of CS, also from my scraps.  It is really good to be able to use these papers as I have way too many of them already.  I die-cut a Large Scallop Nestabilities and adhered a circle that I cut with my MS Small Circle Cutter.  I included a fancy ribbon and adhered one of the crochet flowers that I made (I sell them too, check My Etsy on the side) and used a brad to keep the bow and the flower together.  The wonderful sentiment is a freebie I got from Create with TLC way back and used my Paint Program to change the color on  a couple of words.  I love how it fits my image perfectly.  We all know how a "new baby" in the family is one of God's tiny yet greatest blessings to us!  We are to take care of them and  protect them from any harm, right?!  Anyway,  I adhered some white gems from Imaginisce and stitched all over this project.  What do you think?

When You're Making a Memory Card---Time for Another MayzyArt Challenge with Anything Goes!

Hi there, fellow Crafters!  The hectic weekend is over and going into another busy week for me starting off with a MayzyArt Challenge.  I really enjoy making cards that have more to it than just a simple "Thinking of You" or "Hello."  This creation is all about "Making Memories" and I should say that it is very true.  We wake up each morning not really knowing how the day will go.  We do make plans at times but our plans are subject to the grace and favor of our Almighty God.  The Word of God declares in Proverbs 16:9, "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps."  We all know that even the very air we breathe is given by our Father in heaven so, each day should be treated with praise and thanksgiving for all His goodness.  I used to believe in "luck" or "coincidences" until I saw many verses in the Bible did I had a change of heart.  Having put my faith in the Lord Jesus, I have found these scriptures to be true in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."  Psalm 37:23 declares, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way."  Thus, I have erased those words in my vocabulary knowing that my Father in heaven has me covered.  Though the storms of life come and believe me, they come pretty often, my confidence is in the promises of my God who loved me and gave His life for me.  Thus, this scripture makes perfect sense to me in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I know that whether I live or die, I am with Him and for Him because Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for my redemption.  I will forever be grateful!  He knew me far more than I will ever know myself thus I remind myself everyday this promise of the Lord in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  Therefore, each day of my life starts with a prayer that He use me mightily for His glory and to make wonderful memories of each day by being a vessel to do His work.  We are His hands and feet here on earth and the sooner you recognize that, the sooner you will find the purpose for your existence.  

So, here's the inspiration card I want to share to you for our MayzyArt Challenge.  I used Prom Annette from MayzyArt stamps to highlight today's project which I colored with my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  I used a 5.5-inches Kraft for my card base, more Kraft and Ecru CS for my panels and matting, the DP's are from Recollections.  I stamped the sentiment from Cloud 9 and the flower border stamp is from Tim Holtz.  I layered some Prima flowers and laid out some glitters (Stickes-Diamond) on the petals, added some brads from Recollections and gems from Hotfix.  I used an MS Border Punch to punch the sides of the card and added a doily.   I added some Platinum Liquid Pearls on the clothes of the image for a wonderful touch.  Lastly, I stitched all over this card.  I love the subtle vintage effect this Card has achieved.  Hope you like it too.

It's A Sweet Day---Join us for Anything Goes at Mayzy Art!

Hello there, everyone!  I had a busy weekend so, this post is just coming on today.  We have a brand new Anything Goes Challenge at MayzyArt with an optional theme of Animal Print.   So, here's my inspiration card for you.  I used Molly and Booboo image you can find at MayzyArt shop which I colored with my Promarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  I used a Kraft base card measuring 5.5 inches together with a dark blue and golden yellow CS for matting my panels.  The DP's are from Recollections and DCWV.  I punched the sides of the card to alter the shape using an MS Punch and die-cut the lacy circle with Nestabilities.  I stamped the banners utilizing CDS stamps and cut them out to triangles.  The paw print stamp is from Recollections and the sentiment is from Stampendous.  I added some twine, brads (Recollections), gems (Imaginisce) and stitching all over this card for a complete look.  

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

This is one of those cards that I didn't have a clear idea what to do but God helped me put it altogether.  I love when I create and know that God is with me helping pick colors as He impressed upon my heart how each panels and layers are to be placed.  Many times, we think that we can only call on Him on desperate situations.  When we tried everything and nothing worked.  We sometimes think that God is too busy to be mindful of this little craft of ours.  Yet, "This is what the LORD says: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?" (Acts 7:49) Just with this verse, we can only imagine how big God truly is.  He created the earth and the fulness thereof.  The Word of God further declares in Luke 12:7, "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."  This verse tells me how involved God is in my life.  If he knows even the daily count of my hair, this tells us that he is never out of reach.  In fact, when I allowed/accepted Him (Jesus) as my Lord and Savior, He lives inside my heart.  He is closer than a heartbeat.  He is my everything and without Him, I cannot do anything (John 15:5).  The issue with us (created beings) is that we tend to put God's mind to our level of thinking.  Yet God declared in Isaiah 55:8, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD." Think about it by looking around you, all the things we see and cannot see are testimonies of a great Creator.  Man can only discover what God allows Him to and unless we fully surrender our lives and come to terms with Him, we will not know the great mysteries He has in store for them that love Him.  His Word says in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."  I've decided to live my life for Him and through Him with every step, big or small.  He has proven His love for me by what He's done at the Cross.  He paid on my behalf the ultimate price (death) for my freedom from the hands of Satan and all his powers and He declared me righteous before His sight, not by any good works that I've done or the lack thereof but solely based on Jesus' sacrifice.  Pretty awesome!  If you have not experienced that kind of love and acceptance, call unto JESUS.  His promises are as true from the beginning of age, in His time, our time and beyond.

Reach Out in Friendship Card---Join Us For Another MayzyArt Challenge!

Good Monday morning everyone.  This post was supposed to make it here in my Blog last Saturday but because the MayzyArt Challenge was delayed and only posted yesterday, that is why I am just posting it now.  The Challenge theme is "Stars" so, you are welcome to interpret this theme the way you like it. Take for example, this Card, I only have the stars on the image's outfit.  

Anyway, this Card is another testimony of God's goodness as I didn't really know how the creation is going to look like except for the image that I had chosen from no other than MayzyArt called "Prom Zilpha and Trevor."  I proceeded on looking for a sentiment that will give life to the images and found it at Create with TLC which I have purchased a while back but didn't used yet.  I didn't want it to be just another sweet card but to speak about how real relationships are formed.  These days, most people look into each other for a second and the next thing you know, they are living together outside of marriage.  And this goes on and on, oftentimes resulting to a painful process of frustration and hopelessness when what we truly need is to find someone we can truly trust.  There can never be a person living in this world that can truly be perfect to as not disappoint us.  We ourselves can disappoint others while unaware of it.  So, to become a true friend to someone, you need to connect with the Truest Friend one can ever have----His Name is JESUS!  He is everything we need in this life.  He already proven His love for us by dying on the Cross on our behalf, taking to Himself the punishment that was intended for us so that we can all come to Him and be with Him.  We need to learn His ways through His Word as His  Holy Spirit guides us in our walk with Him.  I lived with this mindset in mind:  "I cannot give what I don't have."  Simply put, I cannot love anyone if love has not been shown to me. I can't forgive anyone's offense toward me if I have not been forgiven myself.  I cannot truly love if I have not experienced true love.  But it's hard for people who grew up abandoned and abused by those who were supposed to care for them.  In my lifetime, many times I thought I was loved; only to be left frustrated.  Betrayals are the hardest of them.  But I came to the knowledge of the One who loved me unconditionally---with forgiveness and salvation---I found out what "sacrificial love" means.  One that gives and keeps on giving without expecting anything in return.  "Agape Love," the highest form of love that Only comes from the Source of Love Himself---JESUS!  He is all you'll over need in this lifetime through life everlasting.  The Scriptures is not just a book but speaks volume on the love of God bestowed upon His creation and His plan to restore them after they rebelled against Him.  If you haven't laid your hands on the Bible, there in it's pages is the  the Answer to your every need.  Don't allow anyone/anything to keep you away from the incorruptible treasures you can find there.

So, back to the inspirational card I made for this MayzyArt Challenge, I colored this beautiful image with my ProMarker/ProMarker/Spectrum Noir and Sharpie markers.  I used a White CS cut to a 5.5-size square card as my base together with some Purple and Black CS for matting.  The DP's are from Recollections, Paper Studio, K & Company and the hearts were cut out from a DP from Me & My Big Ideas. To deviate from  having a square card, I punched an MS Border Punch to 2 sides of the card hence making this a nice-shaped card.  I stamped some swirls on the panel using a clear stamp from Stampendous.  I scribbled inspirational words to the hearts using an MS pen marker.   Lastly, I stitched all over this card.  I haven't created a card in purple tone and didn't intend to do it but I was surprised how the colors turned out wonderfully.

Make Today Your Day Card---We have Another Challenge at MayzyArt!

Hi, everyone!   It's quite a hectic week for me having to finish 3 DT cards together with all the usual responsibilities with my family at home, at Church and with friends too.  But things needed to get done and I can only thank the Lord Jesus for providing me the strength to keep up with all these responsibilities and commitments.  Many times, I ran out of ideas or there are also days where I wanted to do a lot including trying many techniques that it all clashes in my head...LOL  In those times, I simply let go of all the stress, breath for a moment and utter a prayer---"Lord help me create something nice today." And as I begin to gather my materials, things are coming to my head little by little.  I don't picture my creation until materials are put away and mess cleaned up,  then,  I set my finished project in front of me, appreciate how it came about and thank the Lord for everything---Yes, everything!  The Bible says:

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)


That's why in everything I do, I give God all the glory.  Come to think about it, if I am not feeling well, then, I will not be able to do anything.  If I don't have eye to see, then it would be interesting to put together a detailed work such as this and many more reasons I will not have the space nor the time to share here.  Even the air I breathe belongs to Him...This is the very reason why it is important for me to give Him all the glory.  I am simply a vessel for the Almighty God to use and give glory to His Name.  

Anyway, I want to share with you a Card I made for your inspiration at this week's MayzyArt Challenge.  The theme is Musical and you can interpret it your own way.  I used one of Mayzy's cute gal digis called "Amy" and colored here with my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  I started with a square Kraft base CS measuring 5.5-inches.  All the DP's are from Paper Studio, the border punch from EK Success and the ribbon from my stash.  A couple of Nestabilities were used (Scallop and Circle---2nd to the largest of both) to produce the shape the image is mounted on.  The sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC and the gems are from Hotfix.  I stamped some swirls behind the main image and those were from Autumn Leaves.  Lastly, I finished it up by stitching.  I think it came out pretty good, what about you?

Moments That Take Our Breath Away Card---Join us for Anything Goes at MayzyArt!

Hi there, friends!  It's been a loaded week for me  having to do 3 different cards for my Design Teams.  That combined with the many other things I do at home, family, Church, friends---the list can be overwhelming.  There are times when I am faced with not knowing what to do with a project and it can be stressing especially if time is a factor.  That is the time I sit down, look at all the things I needed done and utter a prayer, asking Jesus to help me out.  To others, it may seem like not much of a need but having a relationship with my Savior and knowing Him through His Word (the Bible), I know that He delights when I go to Him for every thing that affects my life.  I may not see Him physically but He is with me 24/7, more than anyone will ever be.  He created me, thus, He knows me very well. He has empowered me with specific qualities and capabilities to fulfill the purpose He created me for and all I needed to do is to stay plugged into Him and see His power take effect in my life.  Discovering what He has already set for me is sometimes nerve-wracking but also exciting because no matter what life throws at me, I know I am not alone and He is always with me and in me...loving me unconditionally!  He is the Friend all of us will ever need!  His love is so great that He chose to die on the Cross to bring me back from death caused by rebellion, transformed me from my shameful state and made me His righteousness in Christ Jesus.  I am comforted by His promises in these Scriptures:

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."(Jeremiah 29:11)

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

So here's what I came up with after asking the Lord in prayer what to create.  I used a darling image from Beansie Doodles called "Spring Swing Rebekah" as the main image in this card.  Sharreldine, the Owner of the shop, is new in the digi stamp world so, Mayzy asked us to highlight her artwork in this week's Challenge at MayzyArt.  I colored this fab image with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers, die-cut the frame and the border using my Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge (love those loops) and laid them on a 5.5-inch Kraft card base.  The DP I used to paper-piece her dress is from my scraps and incorporated more Kraft, Aqua Blue and Black CS from Paper Studio for my panels and matting.   The flower was formed from 2 stamps---Scrappy Cat and Autumn Leaves.  The dot I stamped for the background is from TPC Studio, the swirls on the leaves which I die-cut with an MS punch is from Hot Off the Press.  The main sentiment is from Cloud 9.  I added some brads and glitters (Stickles-Diamond) to bling this up.  Finally, I stitched all over this card.  To find out how to join the MayzyArt Challenge and the rules, please visit the Blog.  Fabulous prizes awaits our winners.

Smiles Across the Miles Travel Card---Get ready for Another MayzyArt Challenge!

Good morning, Crafty guys and gals!  I hope you are enjoying a bit of cool with lots of blue skies day like I do.  From my window, I cannot help but marvel at the wonderful things my Father in heaven has created and I feel loved and secured knowing that He holds my every moment like He does all His creation.  These scriptures came to my mind and I am comforted by His promises---ancient yet holds true today and for eternity.

Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah 

 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.  (Psalm 46:2-4)

Well, "Romance is in the air" at our new Challenge at MayzyArt and I want to share with you the project I created for that Challenge.  I was inspired by a lot of my travel stamps in putting this project together.  I used one of Mayzy's cutest stamp, "Joan Jetsetter" and colored her with my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Spectrum Noir markers.  My base card is a 5.5-inch square Kraft CS.  The DP's are from My Mind's Eye (Wild Asparagus Collection) and I used the 2 largest Nestabilities large Scallop die for that wonderful shape in the center of my card.  I used my "Love" border stamp from Fiskars together with all the travel stamps from Cloud 9, Scrappy Cat and Paper Company Studio.  The main sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC which I made into a tag and attached the hemp to---I love it! So, you see, she is such a "Romantic Traveler" making sure she kept her hubby updated wherever she goes.  She wished he's beside her but he needed to take care of the family business (LOL...See how my imagination works!).  Lastly, I stitched all over this card.  So, tell me what you think of this creation.

Too Cool Tennis Girl Card---MayzyArt is Back and We Love a Challenge!

Good morning, fellow Crafters!  I can't believe the sun is up...Yes, it's up after a couple of weeks that was just gloomy and pretty chilly out here in Texas.  Just an hour ago, I marveled at the beauty of the sun which we don't usually pay much attention until it didn't show up for many days.  Lord Jesus, I thank you for the beauty of your creation for you did create them to bless us.   In the scriptures written  in Genesis 1-2:3, it is clear that we were created on the 6th day after all other things were created.  The very first day we entered into is the 7th day---the day of rest.  And we all thought differently---that we should try and work as hard as we can before God will provide us with things we need.  Hear the wisdom in God's creation.  God has provided everything we needed to live thus we should rest in the Lord (depend upon Him, rely, live our lives for Him) and then, we do about the task He has assigned us in this world based on the strength, knowledge and purpose He has predestined us to do.  I love this verse in the Bible and just want to share:

"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."  (Romans 1:20)
